Unboxing BoxyCharm, January 2019

Price: $21.00 USD (+$5.00 shipping to Canada)
Number of items: 4-5 full-size items

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box of full-size makeup, skincare and beauty tools. The theme for this month is “’Boxy and Chill”. I guess after the hectic holidays, January is just for relaxing!

Now I know I’m on a no-buy this year, but I’ve decided that I’m going to continue to subscribe to BoxyCharm for now.

PRICES ARE IN USD, CONVERTED TO CAD AT THE END

Briogeo Roscaro Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray
MSRP: $12.00 US

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (7)

Most of the items I have from Briogeo came from boxes or as deluxe samples with makeup orders. That’s great because I’ve had a chance to try out different items from this brand without needing to purchase any large sizes. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried so far. This spray has a blend of rosehip, argan, and coconut oils to detangle hair and protect against heat. I already have one of these open and I really like it to use when my hair is damp before styling.

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Havana Nights
MSRP: $20.00 US

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (8)

This is a matte liquid lipstick in a berry purply-red. I did a swatch of this on my hand and it’s very pigmented. It does transfer so I’m not sure if I would wear such a bold shade on my lips because I would be afraid of it rubbing all over my face. I just can’t trust myself to not touch my face, or ruin a makeup look when eating. This is infused with vitamin A and antioxidants and smells like candy!

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Highlighting eyeshadow palette Vol.III
MSRP: $36.00 US

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (5)

I own the Vol.II version of this palette which I have reviewed here. I do like the formula of Tarte shadows so I’m very tempted to keep this although I know I have very similar colours in my makeup collection. I think these shades are beautiful for those who like to keep their makeup subtle.

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (6)

This has seven micro shimmers and one matte nude. This is long wear, vegan, crease-free and enriched with vitamin E and antioxidants.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Face Mask (2 Pack)
MSRP: $24.00 US

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (2)

I’m SOOOOOO excited to get these masks in my box! I really don’t think I’d pay $12.00 for one mask, especially when you get some for about $2-3 but I’m happy to have them to test out! This has rice germ oil, vitamin E, essential fatty acids and botanical oils. This is a nourishing and anti-ageing serum so I’m really happy about that!

Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil
MSRP: $18.00 US

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (3)

I’m not sure how I feel about how thick this brow pencil is because recently I’ve been liking really thin brow pencils. As I don’t have many brow items in my collection right now, I might end up using it when I finish up the other brow products I have.

boxycharmjanuary2019_lbl (4)

This is a self-sharpening pencil that glides over the brows without pulling your skin. I think the colour itself will work for me as I have medium brown brows.

My Thoughts

This is a good box. It’s not my favourite from BoxyCharm but I do like a few of the items like the Tatcha mask, the Tarte Cosmetics Palette and definitely the Briogeo spray. I’m not as excited for the Ofra lipstick and brow pencil. Overall, pretty good value and new items that I am willing to try!

Total Value: $110.00 US ($145.82 CAD)

Did you get BoxyCharm this month? What was in your box?

Review, Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Paaarty

Today I’m going to review another item in my Project Pan Monthly for January. If you’re curious what items I’ve put in my project pan for this month you can do that here.

What it is

I’ve reviewed the Tarte Amazonian Clay Formula before when I took a look at their holiday Blush Bazaar palette here. In a nutshell, I generally like this formula.

tarteblushreview_lbl (5)

The Amazonian clay formula is said to control oil and infuse moisture into the skin. I have dry skin so I can’t speak to the oil controlling part, but I don’t really notice any moisturizing. I just find that it leaves a nice finish on my skin. It doesn’t look very powdery and I enjoy that.

Price

The regular price of the full-size pan is $38.00 CAD (0.2 oz), this is the deluxe size (0.05 oz) that I received as a beauty insider birthday gift from Sephora with a lip gloss.

tarteblushreview_lbl (4)

Packaging

There isn’t anything super special about this packaging since it is a deluxe sample item but it’s still a nice size compact size and sturdy plastic. I like that the pan size is wide making it easy to use with a fluffy brush.

Colour

Paaarty is described as a nude shade blush. To me it looks more like a natural peachy tone. I tend to prefer really bold blushes but this one sheerer so I find I have to layer it on a bit. I guess that means I use up a little more of the pan, but I do like my blush to show up on my face.

tarteblushreview_lbl

Application & Wear

Unlike the shades in the Blush Bazaar palette in the link above, the colour of this blush is a lot more muted so I don’t need to be as careful with the application. I love putting a lot of this on! The wear time is alright. I find that I do find it fades a lot quicker than the palette shades but those ones are a lot more vibrant to begin with. By the end of the day, I notice it’s still there but not as strong.

Overall, I like the blush formula itself, but I wouldn’t pick up this particular shade again. I’m happy I got it as a gift to try. Hopefully I can put a good tent in it during this month. I feel like I can start to see the pan underneath!

Have you tried the Amazonian Clay formula or this blush? Let me know your thoughts on it!

Review: Nudestix Gel Color Lip & Cheek Balm in Pulse

I love easy makeup. I like items that you can apply and blend out quickly and be on your way that doesn’t look too overdone. Of course every once in a while I like to spend over an hour perfecting a makeup look, but usually, I like being put together and natural. I like items that are one and done types of products that can be used in multiple ways.

Nudestix checks off all these boxes for me!

If you’ve never heard of Nudestix, they are a company that focuses on natural looking makeup. Started by two sisters and their mom, they sell sticks or crayons for the face, eyes and lips that add a touch of colour to enhance your natural look. Their products are vegan and cruelty-free. Plus they are Canadian!

reviewnudetix_lbl (2)

I’ve been using Nudestix for so many years now, but I’ve never reviewed their products. Today, I figured why not review this lip & cheek balm since it’s in my project pan for January.

Price

When I bought this it came in a pack of 3 mini sticks in similar nude tones for $28.00 CAD, you can find it on their website here. The three pack had three different finishes, a matte, a cream, and a gel. I’ll be focusing on the gel balm in Pulse.

Packaging

Whenever you buy a nudestix item, they usually come in a metal tin with a sharpener. I love the little tin because you can easily keep all the products together. The tin also has a mirror which is great of you want to take these on the go.

nudestix pulse_lbl

The sharpener itself also doubles a lid for the stix, so if you like to keep one in your purse, you’d have the sharpener too. Just super clever and sleek packaging.

Application & Wear

I Immediately fell in love with Pulse because I love the gel formula.  It’s super creamy and hydrating without being greasy on the lips. The colour is natural and just enhances my own lip colour. I love wearing a lip like this whenever I’m rocking a warm eye shadow. It almost feels like a gloss and has so much shine without the stickiness.

reviewnudetix_lbl

I have actually tried this formula on my cheeks as well and it applies and blends really well as blush. Even though this is gel formula, I think on me it leaves a nice dewy finish. With dry skin, I tend to like this type of look a lot. I love wearing this when I’m doing a minimal or no makeup look because it looks very flattering on my natural skin. It does apply well over foundation too.

The only downside is it’s not very long lasting. I might be able to get away with an hour of wear before it starts to fade away. Because it’s close to my lip colour, I don’t mind it so much but if I’m wearing this out, I do find that I re-apply pretty often. Note though that the matte and cream formulas are longer lasting in comparison.

reviewnudetix_lbl (4)

My Thoughts

Overall, I really love this formula because as someone who doesn’t wear lip products often I mostly prefer that they are more balm-like. I love the packaging and the brand overall. I’ll have to share my thoughts on the Nudestix eye crayons soon because those are AMAZING!

Have you tried Nudestix before? What are your thoughts on the brand and products?

Project Pan Monthly: January 2019

Alrighty, 2019 Project Pan here I come!

Last year I attempted to use up 18 items for 2018. You can read my round-up of that Project Pan here.

This year I wanted to do something different. Instead of picking products to use through-out the year, each month I will choose 4 items to use through-out the month! This way I’ll rotate through my makeup items and use up more stuff. It should keep things interesting.

During that time I’ll keep track of how often I used it and at the end of each month I’ll share an update on my progress.

The 4 products will be chosen from these categories;

  • One Eyeshadow Palette
  • One Lip Item (lipstick, lip balm, gloss, etc.)
  • One Face Item (foundation, highlighter, blush, bronzer)
  • One Random Item (can be another item from the categories above, or be something else like a mascara, liner, skin care, body care, fragrance, etc.)

My January Items

This month I’ve chosen:

projectpanjan_lbl (4)

  • Eyeshadow Palette – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette (reviewed here)
  • Lip Item – Nudestix Lip and Cheek Balm in Pulse
  • Face Item – Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Paaarty
  • Random Item – Benefit They’re Real Mascara in Black

I think together these make an easy look that is nice for the colder weather. I’m already enjoying using the Too Faced Palette again, it’s been such a long time that I’ve used the Original Chocolate Bar!

projectpanjan_lbl (3)

I’ll share an update in a month’s time and share my February Project Pan. I’ll also try to review the items mentioned above that don’t have reviews and fulfill my Blog Goal of getting more reviews up on the blog.

Are you doing a Project Pan this year? What Items have you choosen for it? What do you think about doing a monthly project pan?

Lots of Love,
Dal

Bye Bye Empties, December 2018

Well what do you know! It’s 2019! My December empties include not only items that I used up but I’ve also included some items here that I actually haven’t used all year and I figured why not just toss them out! No use keeping something that I’m not using or enjoying.

If you read my post on my 2019 goals, you’ll know that I’m on a no-buy for this year. I still will mention below whether I would repurchase an item or not, but it’s more to just note whether I enjoyed the item enough that I would repurchase it, not that I actually will this year.

Skincare

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (5)

Ole Henrikson The Clean Truth Foaming Cleanser and The Truth Serum. I dedicated a full review to both these products in my post Ole Henrikson Skincare Review. I would definitely repurchase the Truth Serum, but I find I have foaming cleansers I like better than the The Clean Truth Foaming Cleanser so I won’t be repurchasing that.

CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops in Radiance. I love this little mini. The radiance drops are great for me because they help my skin glow under makeup. The full size of this is pretty expense so I won’t be repurchasing this.

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (4)

Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Face Mask. I think this is the second or third mask I’ve used up. I really enjoy it because it is super hydrating. I would repurchase this.

Neutrogena’s All-in-One Make-Up Wipes. This has made it into my empties stash again. I love using these wipes to remove any left over makeup after I wash my face. Currently, I’m working through other makeup wipes so I won’t be repurchasing these.

Body and Hair Care

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (6)

Yves Rocher’s Jardin du Monde Soft Shower Cream. Another item that has made it into my empties again! I love the  Cotton Flower from India scent. I think I might still have some other body washes from Yves Rocher that I’m making my way through.

Professional Sebastian Shaper Plus Extra Hold Hairspray. This came in my November 2017 Topbox and then it was in my favourites from the boxes post a few months later. I really like this hairspray but the nozzle stopped working and I can feel a lot of product in it. I’m pretty disappointed with that so I won’t be repurchasing this.

Makeup

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (7)

Covergirl BB Cream Tinted Moisturizer. I shared a review of this when I shared a post on the BB Creams I have here. I love wearing this with my foundation to help sheer it out or on it’s own. I don’t use it too often anymore so I won’t be repurchasing this.

Tarte Rainforest Of the Sea Foundation. I shared a review of this in my One Look, One Week of Reviews. I like this formula and the shade matches my skin tone. I have so many foundations to get through that I’m not going to repurchase.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. This is probably one of my favourite concealers from the drugstore. Whenever they go on sale I’ll pick up two of these. The formula lasts a long time on me and it blends so well under my eyes providing a good amount of coverage without looking too heavy. I have a back-up of this in my collection.

MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base. I received this little sample with a MAC purchase I made at the beginning of the year. I realize that when it comes to primer, I much prefer ones that are hydrating or provide a glow rather than a pore filling one like this one. It’s not bad and I used it a few times, but I think I’ll just toss it since I haven’t used it in the last 6 months.

Benefit Air Patrol Eye Primer. I received this in my Topbox and shared it in a Favourites post in September 2016. I have been using this on and off and I do like the formula but since I usually just wear concealer as a base for eye-shadow I don’t use eye primer as often. When I do use eye primer it’s usually my Urban Decay Primer Potion or the Too Faced Glitter Primer. This is almost empty anyway (and I’ve owned it for two years now) so I’m going to toss it!

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (8)

Eyeko Fat Eye Stick. This isn’t terrible but I don’t wear it. I usually just reach for a standard eye pencil so I might as well just toss this as well.

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (9)

Peony Shadow Trio and Elf Blush and Bronzer duo. More products I’m going to just trash my collection since I haven’t been using them at all. The eye shadow trio are just not colours I’m ever tempted to wear and the Elf Blush/Bronzer is too glittery for my liking.

DecemeberEmptiesLBL (10)

Tarte Cosmetics Mineral Bronzer Park Avenue Princess. I got this a lonnngggg time ago when I used to subscribe to Ipsy. This has gotten some really good use and although I have just a little bit of product left I decided I would just remove it from my collection because I have so many bronzers right now.

~~~
Well that is everything I used up in December or decided to throw out for the end of 2018!
What items are in your empties for December?
Lots of Love,
Dal
2019 Blog Goals!
Happy New Year!
It’s finally 2019 and I wanted to share some goals I have for the blog! There are some things that I’m going to be doing differently in 2019 and I thought it wold be fun to keep you in the loop! I’ve never really set a goal for the blog, I just like to keep things fun. This year, I think it’ll be good to challenge myself to reach some of the goals below.
If you have any goals for your blog, I’d love to know them!
Collage_Blog Goals
My 2019 Blog Goals!
  1. Makeup No Buy. Yes, I’m going to attempt this. I have so many products in my makeup collection that I haven’t even opened and I get monthly subscription boxes full of new items. I think I can handle not purchasing any new makeup unless I must. For instance, if a makeup item runs out and I don’t have a back up of it, then I’ll purchase. Otherwise, no shopping for me!
  2. More Reviews. As I go through the makeup I have in my collection, I’ll try to post more reviews. I was looking at my previous posts and I average about 2 reviews a month. I want to increase that to 3-4.
  3. More Random Posts. I loved sharing my Summer Walk at High Park and I think it will be fun to change things up once in a while and add a post that is not beauty related but more just about my day to day.
  4. Changing up my Project Pan. This is going to be a fun challenge for me. I’m going to set up a monthly project pan for myself rather than a yearly one. This will ensure I rotate through my makeup items and I won’t get bored of using the same products. Look out for my January post with more details on that.
Lots of Love,
Dal
Price: $12.00 CAD (plus tax, free shipping) 4 items.
Topbox is a Canadian monthly beauty subscription service. Each month you can receive a surprise box or opt to swap it for a prive box. You can always see what items are offered in prive boxes before they are shipped.
This month I opted for a surprise box!
All prices in Canadian Dollars.
Luna by Luna Highlighter in Calypso
Full Size: $30.78 (3g), this is a full-size item
TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL3
I like the silver tone of this highlighter. It’s unique to my collection since I have mostly owned champagne or pink toned highlighters.
TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL10
The baked formula is light, creamy and very shimmery. I love how this catches the light and think it would look so beautiful over the cheeks or on the eyes.
Smashbox Always on Lipstick in Bawse
Full Size: $24.00 (4mL), Mini Size: $6.00 (1mL)
TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL7
I love the shade Bawse! It’s such a gorgeous red that is so bold! It’s really great for the holidays but I also like this for really fun evening’s out when you just want to rock a bold lip. This is an 8-hour, liquid matte lipstick that’s supposed to be comfortable and not dry out your lips.
Pretty Woman Nail Polish in All the Jingle Ladies
Full Size: $7.99 (10 mL), this is a full-size item
TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL8
I’m applying this to my nails right away! This is such a great, sparkly red that is perfect for the holidays! Yes, Christmas is over, but I’m still celebrating the season! I love the flecks of gold, they are just so festive.
TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL9
It matches the Smashbox Bawse Lipstick so they would make the perfect pair! This formula is Cruelty-Free, Vegan, Paraben-Free, Sulfate-Free, Phthalate-Free, Petrochemical-Free, GMO-Free, and Triclosan-Free.
Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Red Squeex Intensive Mask
One Sheet Mask: $2.29
TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL6
This brand is sold at PinkNBlossom.com, an Ontario-based Company that sells Korean Skincare Products. I just discovered that and I know I’ll be checking out the website for more goodies! This mask includes 5 extracts; tomato, apple, pomegranate, mangosteen and redcurrant. It relieves and improves the skin. Even the sheet itself is interesting, it’s called a line cell sheet which is thinner than traditional sheet masks but is strong and adheres to the skin better. I am definitely going to be testing this out!
~~~

TopboxUnboxingDecember2018_LBL2

Now there you have it! Everything from my Topbox! I’m really happy that I received two full-size products this month! I am super excited to wear the highlighter and test out the sheet mask the most!

Total Value: $47.06 CAD

Did you get Topbox this month? What was in your box?

Unboxing BoxyCharm, December 2018

I hope everyone who celebrated Christmas had a wonderful time with family and friends! Happy Boxing Day!

Price: $21.00 USD (+$5.00 shipping to Canada)
Number of items: 4-5 full-size items

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box of full-size makeup, skincare and beauty tools. The theme for this month is “’Tis the Sea-Sun”. I love the play on words and that this has a little flamingo with a Santa hat on. I know a lot of people travel to warmer climates during the winter and I think a lot of the items in this box are travel-friendly!

Prices are in USD, converted to CAD at the end

Tarte Glitter Paint in Flaming Hot
MSRP: $20.00 US

20181216_134942

This is described as a sheer lip gloss with shimmery glitters. The shade Flaming Hot is gorgeous! I love the deep berry colour with the blue and pink glitters in it. Although I really like this shade I’m not going to swatch this because I think it might be better suited for someone I know.

Bodyography Lip Liner in Barely There
MSRP: $12.00 US

20181216_135112

Recently, I’ve been wearing lipstick a little more often than I usually do, it’s the season of bright lips after all, so having this lip liner that matches my lip colour is perfect. It’s a traditional wooden pencil which I like and the formula is on the dry side, which I like as well. Last month, I received a makeup brush cleaner from this brand in my BoxyCharm so I’m happy to get another product to explore more than they offer.

Marajo Anti Frizz Smoothing Serum Capsules
MSRP: $18.00 US*

*my boxycharm card had these at $28.00 but I looked on their website and saw it was $18.00

20181216_135137

These capsule size serums are really perfect for travel. You can take the jar and use as you need while on vacation without the worry of taking a whole bottle of serum that might leak in your bag! This serum nourishes with Shea Butter and helps prevent heat damage and is ideal for taming frizz on the go.

20181216_135141

OK! I’m super excited to try this, however, it is super pricey for only 10 capsules. That means I’m only going to get 10 uses of this. I’ve purchased bottles of serums that cost about the same but last me way longer. I did use this the last time I styled my hair. Since I have short hair I only needed half the little capsule of serum which was a waste because I had no way of saving the rest of the serum without it spilling all over the place. It did smell really good and left my hair feeling really silky so there is that.

Wander Beauty Dusk to Dawn Blush & Highlight Palette
MSRP: $26.00 US

20181216_134739

This is a BoxyCharm exclusive product. It includes two blushes (Hava Nights and Tuscan Sunrise) and one highlighter (City Lights). I think the colours are really beautiful and perfect for every day.

20181216_134812

The pan sizes are smaller but I like that there is space between the shades so you don’t accidentally mix them together if you don’t want to. I also really love the pink sunrise packaging. This would make a great travel item.

PYT Mini Hair Straightener
MSRP: $75.00 US

20181216_135200

UM WOW! Did this seriously come in my BoxyCharm!

20181216_135224

Probably the ultimate travel tool; the mini hair straightener! This is a ceramic flat iron that gets up to 400-degree Fahrenheit. A great little tool to keep for touch ups on the go. I love that it’s a bright green and that it comes in a little travel pouch. I’m super excited that this came in my BoxyCharm! I might keep this at work or save it for my next overnight trip!

~~~
So that was all the items in my BoxyCharm this month. Overall, I’m super happy with everything I got. I am definitely thinking about using these items on my next trip, I just need to decide where to go. I’m shocked that the flat iron came in this month’s box because it is so pricey.
Total Value: $151.00 USD ($202.09 CAD)
Did you get BoxyCharm this month? What was in your box?
Project Pan, Update #4 and Roundup!
Over the last year, I embarked on a Project Pan where I attempted to use up 18 makeup items in my collection. This was great because it pushed me to use up items that were being neglected. In the end I completely emptied one item but put a good dent in others as well.
To keep it simple I’ve split this up into two parts, what I’m keeping and what I’m throwing out. Unfortunately, I had to stop using a lot of items in my project pan because they had started to go bad or I really wasn’t enjoying them. So even though not everything is technically empty, I’ll be tossing them out.
If you are interested in reading my previous posts in the Project Pan Series you can check them out here.
I guess the question is whether I’ll embark on this next year. I don’t think I will BUT I have devised another way to use up my makeup throughout the year. I’ll share this new project in January.
Items I’m Keeping
ProjectPanUpdate4_LBL5
A lot of the items that will be going back into my makeup collection are powder products. I hit pan on my Physician’s Formula BB Bronzer but it crumbled shortly afterward so I had to repress it (that’s why it looks so weird now). Other items such as my Tarte Amazonian Clay Highlight and MAC Cosmetics blush are still going strong so I plan on keeping them.
Many of my lipsticks are being thrown out but my  Estee Lauder Lipstick is still in good condition that I’m going to hold on to it a few more weeks. The formula still feels good and it’s a colour I love wearing. The Fresh Lip Scrub and CoverFX Custom Drops are also good so I’m keeping and using them.
Items I’m Throwing Out
ProjectPanUpdate4_LBL3
The items in this pile are old and/or expired. My lips are pretty sensitive to formulas and I don’t want to break-out by using a lot of the items here. Many of the lip items including the Teeez Cosmetics Lipstick, Too Faced Melted Lipstick, and Bite Beauty Lip Crayon have a strange scent or the formula seems to have gotten old.  The Marc Jacobs Eyeliner is not one that I really liked in the first place so I’m not sad to see this go.
It felt really good to finally toss a lot of these out because I was tired of holding onto them.
That’s the round-up of items I am keeping and throwing out from my Project Pan. Overall, I feel that if I didn’t do the Project Pan a lot of these items might still be sitting in my makeup collection gathering dust. I think this is a great way of committing to using what was in my collection rather than just purchasing new items.
Will you be embarking on Project Pan in 2019?
Lots of Love,
Dal
Festive Makeup Look, Sparkly Eyes & Red Lips
Hold the phone! Christmas is less then a week away! WOOOOOHOOOO!!!!!
Today I thought I’d do full-on Christmas glam! Sparkly eyes and Red lips! I like this look so much I think I might wear this for a Christmas Eve Party I will be attending. Something about the combination of full-on glitter lids and a red lip that just feels like the holidays.
Festive Makeup Look_Sparkles & Red Lip collage
For the eyes, I used my Smashbox Cover Shot Palette in Minimalist to get a base going. I used the warm-toned shades on the left side of the palette below. I mostly kept to the light brown on the very left of the palette in my crease and on my lid with a touch of the dark brown to deepen crease.
Festive Makeup Look_Sparkles & Red Lip (6)
I used some concealer mixed with glitter glue (I use Too Faced) to cut the crease halfway on my lid starting from the inner portion of the lid to the center. Then I used the light brown shade again to blend out any harsh edges.
Festive Makeup Look_Sparkles & Red Lip (7)
Over the area I had applied the concealer, I used the shimmer and glitter side of the Tarte Pro Glitter Liner in Gold. I applied my Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Diamond Dust over the areas I had applied the Tarte liner. The silver glitter in Diamond Dust worked so well with the gold. I wanted to make this as sparkly as possible which is why I used both of these products. I kept my lids semi-closed to allow them to dry so that the glitters would not transfer on to my lid.
To finish it all off, I lined my eyes using my Covergirl Get in Line Liquid Liner which I mentioned in my Strong Wing and Fluttery Eyes festive makeup look.
Festive Makeup Look_Sparkles & Red Lip (8)
For the lips, I did a combo of Two Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Lady Balls and Iman Luxury Moisturizing Lipstick in Scandalous. These are both very similar reds and wearing them together helped keep the lip long lasting and comfortable. I don’t usually wear red lipsticks but this was so flattering that I think I might wear them more often.
Festive Makeup Look_Sparkles & Red Lip (9)
This look is so fun to put together. It definitely is very Christmas themed and beautiful.
Do you have any plans for Christmas Eve?
In case I don’t have another post up before the 25th, I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas!
Lots of Love,
Dal
