This month’s theme is soak it up and the products chosen are designed to help hold on to the last bits of summer before it’s over.

1. Key West Aloe Save a Tan

This has 80% pure aloe which is great to use after spending a day in the sun. Lately the weather has been really warm and sunny so this will help me ward off the heat and treat any sunburns. I’m really excited about this product because it smells incredible and I really think I will get some good use out of it. Full Size Price: $16.00 (177mL), Sample Price: $2.70 (30mL)

2. LAQA & Co Cheeky Lip Stain in Humble Brag

Swatching this product on my hand I love the colour. It’s a cute raspberry red that I think will look good on both cheeks and lips. The only thing is that the colour went away really quickly on my hand but hopefully it lasts longer on my lips or cheeks. Full Size Price: $36.00 (set of three), Sample Price: $12.00 (one stick)

3. Number 4 Blow Dry lotion

I’ve received a shampoo/body wash sample from this brand and I really like it, so I’m really glad to see them again in my box. This time I recieved a leave-in treatment. This claims to tame frizz and protect your hair from the heat of your styling tools. I have frizzy hair so I’m always using up whatever treatment product I get so I’m always happy to recieve more. Full Size Price: $36.00 (150ml), Sample Price: $7.20 (30mL)

4. Real Chemistry Luminous 3-minute Peel

This peel isn’t a mask, but more like a facial scrub which I really like. It’s a new concept for me because as you massage this on your face it starts to get grainy as the product picks up the dead skin. Afterwards you rinse your face and you’re left with really smooth and refreshed skin. I am beyond excited to try this! Full Size Price: $58.00 (50mL), Sample Price: $5.80 (5mL)

5. St. Tropez Gradual Tan in Shower

This self-tanner has a buildable colour that you can easily do in the shower. I actually tried this right away once I recieved it because I really want to look like I’ve built a nice tan this summer. It was simple to use and the smell was very clean. Full Size Price: $31.00 (200mL), Sample Price: $7.75 (50mL)

My Thoughts

This is one of the best boxes I’ve received from Birchbox, or any box really. I can’t wait to use every single product and I think they are so appropriate for the summer and fall in line with the theme perfectly. Total value of my samples are $35.45.
