Birchbox is a monthly subscribtion box that introduces customers to different makeup, skin care and hair care lines. You also collect a point for each dollar spent on the site, and every 100 points gets you $10 to use towards products. This month, Birchbox introduced sample choice, where you can choose one sample from the options in that month and the rest of the samples will be surprises. There was also an option to swap out the surprise box with one that was curated by Tati Westbrook of GlamLifeGuru – I decided to keep my box a surprise but did choose a sample choice which was one of the LOC shadow sticks.

This month’s theme is feeling fancy and indulging in the things you love. The whole concept is to make time to pamper yourself in between hectic holidays.

What I Received:

1.Beauty Protector, Protect & Oil

This oil is designed to defend hair against UV rays, heat and breakage. I have been receiving a lot of hair oils lately but it smells really lovely and I can always use it. I also like that I received two of these.

2. Briogeo, Blossom & Bloom Volumizing Blow Cry Spray

You spray this before you blow dry your hair to enhance its thickness and encourage natural, healthy growth over time. I am so excited to have received this to hopefully bring some life back to my hair.

3. Embryolisse, Lait-Creme Concentre

I am excited to try this moisturizer because it heals dryness and preps skin for your daily routine. Reading up on this on Sephora that this combination of shea butter and emollient oils reconstitutes, rejuvenates, and repairs the skin for a healthy-looking complexion. It also had a lot of pretty good reviews.

4. Birchbox Exclusive, LOC, One and Done Shadow Stick – On Point

This was the item that I swaped for when ordering by box. I figured it would be nice to try since it is an exclusize item and the colours looked pretty cool. I really like this shadow stick, the colour is so creamy and shimmery.

5. Temple Spa, La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel

This last item really falls inline with the theme since it’s a bath gel. This is infused with mint, peppermint and basil to help soothe stress while it softens and smooths the skin. The smell is actually pretty light, I like the subtle mint and basil, a very spa-like scent.

My Thoughts

I’m very happy with my items this month. The box I feel is well rounded, I received something for my hair, skin and makeup. The total value of box is $21.66.
