I subscribe to Topbox’s monthly boxes, but they also have an online store where you can purchase boxes that are curated by magazine editors and you don’t need to have a subscription to buy them. I order them because you can get a collection of products for a really great price. Check out their store here.

Recently, Topbox had an amazing Black Friday Sale and I picked up two boxes. I thought I’d share what I received because I think the items are pretty cute and make really great gifts, either as the complete box or if you separate the items for different individuals. I will personally be splitting up the items to give to different family members.

These Boxes were curated by Laura deCarufel, editor-in-chief at TheKit.ca

First Box: Hair Guide Box

1

This box has a good mix of hair and nail items. I also really liked that are products tailored for men and women which is great for my purpose of splitting the items up to give to different people at Christmas. Total value of the box $92.00 (Sold for $30) – All but one of the items were full size.

The CND Vinylux weekly polish that I received is a really cool black with silver sparkles. I love that they included the weekly top coat and the rescue treatment. I can put these three together into one gift as a nail set!

Like I mentioned before, I really like that they included products that were tailored for men in this box. The American Crew 3 in 1 shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as the wax would make a really nice pair together as a gift or separate as stocking stuffers. The difi shampoo has a really nice musk smell as well and is made to deeply wash hair.

The Revlon Shampoo was the only sample size item in this box but I really loved the clean smell so I plan to keep it for myself. I thought that the Orofluido Beauty Elixir was just so luxurious looking that it would make a really nice gift for someone who was into hair oils like I am.

Second Box: The Winter Guide Box

This box is why I went shopping at Topbox in the first place. It has some really cute items that I can give to others and that I gave to myself! haha! Total Value of the box: $115+ (Sold for $35), some items are full size, most are sample size.

All these items together make a great stocking stuffer as a pampering set. The Simple wipes to remove any makeup at the end of the day, the Skyn Iceland firming gel to help erase fatigue and the body butter to moisturize the skin.

I have a cleansing cloth that is very similar to the Maxine Warsh Cloth. You simply wet this cloth and the technology in the fibres are designed to remove dirt and makeup without the need of soap. I knew exactly who was going to get this when I purchased the box and she knows to expect it in her stocking, you know who you are 😉

These three skin creams are all pretty cute samples that you can throw into a gift for someone. I know that I’ll be giving the Prevage to my mom and adding the other two into gifts I already have for a few of my friends.

To round up this box, we have a hair oil and two makeup products. I was really curious about the Givenchy Mascara because it has the small round ball at the tip and I thought the Avon hair oil would make a really nice addition to a gift I already started for someone.

Overall, I purchased both these boxes for $45 (because of Topbox’s Black Friday sale) and have been able to create gifts/stocking stuffers for 5 people as well as receiving items for myself. I wanted to share this because I find that sometimes the best way to create or customize a gift is by adding a few items from boxes in them, and when you buy value boxes such as above you can get some really great items at discounted prices.

What are some cost saving things you’re doing this holiday?

Disclaimer – I WAS NOT paid or asked by Topbox to put up this post, I simply like these boxes and wanted to share them 🙂
