Unboxing: Ipsy, December 2015

1

Price: $10.00 USD (plus $4.95 shipping to Canada) Number of items: 4-5 (plus a cute bag for each month)

Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that introduces customers to new hair and beauty products, each month the products are sent in a cute reusable bag!

This month’s theme is With ❤ from Ipsy – thanking their subscribers for a great 2015. I think it that was really sweet.

Please note that all prices have been converted to Canadian Dollars.

What I Received

1.Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick in Sweet One

2
Full Size: $13.74 (20g), this is a full size item

This goes really well with the “we love you” and “thank you” theme this month. This lipstick is full of great stuff to keep your lips moisturized, as well as being vegan and cruelty free. This colour is amazing! It’s a deeper nude that looks very pretty on the lips.

2.Clark’s Botanicals Deep Moisture Mask

6
Full Size: $68.71 (50mL), Sample Size: $20.61 (15mL)

As the name above states this is a moisturizing mask that you put onto clean skin, wait 5-10 mins then rinse off. What you are left behind is hydrated skin. I’ve been using a lot of sheet masks lately that I am happy with but this would be a good change-up. I can’t wait to try!

3.Briogeo Curl Charisma Leave-In creme

5
Full Size: $23.00 (177mL), Sample Size: $2.86 (22mL)

This is designed for curly hair, which I have, as a finishing creme to tame frizz and define your curls. I have tried a lot of products that claim the same thing and they never work, my hair is just too frizzy, but I will use this as an after treatment to define my look whenever I straighten or curl my hair.

4.Peony Cosmetics Shadow Trio

4
Full Size: $24.67 (3g), this is full size item

I was completely surprised with this shadow trio, the colours are so pretty and each individual shadow is a pretty decent size and has good pigmentation. The description on Ipsy reads that these are formulated with silicon-coated micronized pigments & healthy kaolin clay for a seamless, silky texture that lasts up to 8 hours. I can’t wait to try this out!

5. Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer

3
Full Size: $27.48 (10g), Sample Size: $13.74 (5g)

This does all the things that eye primers do, it preps the eyes for easy shadow application. The only difference between some other primers is that this comes on clear. I am on the market for a new primer so I am happy that I can give this one a go.

My Thoughts

Overall, I do like this bag. I think a lot of the items are really cute and the things that I was most excited about were full size (lipstick and shadow trio). Total Value: $75.62 – this is really impressive!
