Birchbox is a monthly subscribtion box that introduces customers to different beauty items. You also collect 1 point for each dollar spent and every 100 points gets you $10 to use towards products in the Birchbox online store. They also offer a sample choice to switch out one of your samples with.

This month’s theme is All Wrapped Up and it is about the anticipation of the Holidays and getting gifts prepared for our loved ones. The box has a cute pattern that reminds me of a knit sweater, it’s the most festive of all my subscription boxes.

Inside the Box

1.Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo

I don’t use dry shampoo too often but I have heard good things about this one. It has a really pretty smell and the packaging is super cute and colourful!

2.Benefit Cosmetics It’s Potent! Eye Cream!

Bring on more Benefit! OK, usually I get annoyed when my monthly boxes are filled with the same brand month after month, but I really love Benefit so I will give them a pass this time. I actually really love their skin care items, I own a few from their line that I find work really well for me. This one is designed to help fade dark circles.

3.Coastal Scents styleEyes Eyeshadow Palette, formalEYES

This product was part of this month’s sample choice but unfortunately the colour I wanted was not available so I didn’t swap anything. Then I happened to get the colours I wanted originally, which is awesome!!!! This is a really nice nude highlight and shimmery pinky-mauve metallic that come on really nicely. The formula is a bit powdery so I’ll definitely need to prime my eyes before using. I own a few palettes from coastal scents that are awesome so I know these shadows will be pigmented and long-lasting.

4.Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge

This came inside a cute bag within the box that made it pretty intriguing. The description is that this is a matte lip colour with infinite wear. It’s on my lips now and I will say that the colour is very bold and beautiful. It has a really interesting cup-like applicator that hugs your lips as you apply. It’s a really nice stain and I love the colour I’ve received. I will note that the description says you need no lip liner, but it does feather a bit, so I would wear one with this.

5.Salon Gioje Keratin Protein Mask

More hair masks! haha! I guess I know what I’ll be doing this holiday…deep treating my hair.

My Thoughts

I’m really happy with my box this month. It really felt like a wonderful present that Birchbox put together for their subscribers. Come to think of it, they covered almost everything in the box, hair, lips, eyes and face! I love the mix of products! Total value of this box: $41.40
