It wasn’t long ago that I posted my fist ever haul from Colourpop (you can see it here). I was super impressed with my items that I went back onto their website and picked up a few more things. They have every single colour you can think of when it comes to lips and eyes.
The formula is really nice and it’s about $7 to $8 CAD. Even with shipping they’re cheaper than many drugstore options.
I also realize that Colourpop uses the Canadian spelling for colour – they say it’s to be classy – I think they secretly want to be Canadian…
Now on to what I got!!!!
I really liked the Ultra Matte Lip formula from my last haul so I picked up Are & Be below which is a rich plum shade.I wanted to try their new Ultra Satin Lip which has more of a gloss and I’ve heard is more comfortable to wear. I picked up Panda (the name is too cute), again a nice deep plum shade. It’s not transfer proof like the Ultra Matte, so you really need to be careful not to smudge this around.
I also picked up three Lippie Stixs which I feel have more of a lipstick formula.First up, Wet, which has a pearl finish in a taupe gun metal colour. It looks edgy on the lips which I’m in love with! Next, I purchased She Bad which is a really light nude in the Matte X formula. Lastly, my personal fave is Dalia, named after yours truly :P. This is a very hot deep black cherry colour that I love!
Since I’ve had a chance to try out the different formulas I want to point out how amazing these feel and how long lasting they are on the lips. I can go a lot longer between touch-ups with these.
In my last haul I said that I wanted to try their eye shadows. I’ve heard mixed reviews about these so I only picked up two shades to try. I got glow which is a matte ivory shade. I like using it all over my eyelid as a base as it really brightens up my eyes. I also picked up quiche which is oh-so-hot! I really love this metallic sparkly shade! It’s described on their website as a soft olive with violet and pink shimmers. I like adding this to my crease or just on the outside third of my lid. These shadows have the most interesting texture, its very sponge-like. I think they are best applied directly onto the eyelid with your finger and then using a brush to buff them out. The pigmentation and ease of application is quite impressive. They blend nicely with my other shadows too. The range of colours on the website is amazing as well! I will probably, no definitely, pick up some more again.
Anything you’ve been loving from Colourpop lately?
Lots of Luv,
Dal
