HAPPY VICTORIA DAY to my fellow Canadians!

Victoria_Day_play

I hadn’t planned on putting up a post when I went shopping at Tarte or Beauty Boutique but after posting my Sephora Spring VIB Sale Haul I figured I would quickly do this post should I do reviews on any of the products later on.

 Tarte Costmetics Haul

In the beginning of April Tarte held a friends and family sale where all the products where 30% off (including items on sale).

Ready Set Hydrate
I won’t let a new facial mist pass me by so picked this up. It’s got a great mist and smells like cucumbers!
Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (15)Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

I read that this was a full coverage hydrating foundation so I was interested in trying it. I thought the dropper was a cute idea until I actually try to drop this on my face and failed, LOL. Now I just put 2-3 drops on the back of my hand and apply it using my beauty blender.
HaulRainforest of the Sea Volume II
While I was shopping I noticed this palette was already reduced to $30 CAD from it’s regular price of $47 CAD and I got an extra 30% off on top of that! I have palettes with similiar colours but I was drawn to the deep green (far left in the picture) and the gold (second from the top going clockwise). This recently went back to full price so I lucked out.

Color Splash Lipstick in Set Sail
SOOOOOO….I’ve got a few lipsticks now in this colour. I seem to really gravitate towards dark nudes but this one doubles as a balm because it’s super hydrating plus the packaging is so beautiful!
Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (14)Limited Edition Tartiest Quick-Dry Matte Lip Paint in Festival
Yes, this is from the unicorn collection that Tarte released. I wore this quite a bit when I first got it. It’s a beautiful mauve nude that dries super matte and transfer proof. My only issue is that this is super drying on the lips so I couldn’t wear it for too long. It also rubs off too easily and I got tried or constantly re-applying it.

Beauty Boutique by Shoppers Haul

Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (11)I love whenever Beauty Boutique offers 20X the points on $50 or more. I unfortunately did shopping before they held their spend their points event so I didn’t take advantage of that!
Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (7)Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palette in Ablaze
When I saw Beauty Boutique had this palette back in stock I immediately got it. This is my third Cover Shot eye palette. I don’t usually like Smashbox palettes. I have the Full Exposure palette which I didn’t really like. These little palettes however are quite impressive. I will be doing a full review of them in a few weeks so look out for that.
Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (8)Artdeco Crease Brush
I’ve never tried this brand before but so far this brush is great. It’s not crazy soft but it does blend out my crease nicely. I also really like that is a bit more flat on one side which allows me to to get into my crease easily or I can use it like shader brush to distribute colour all over the lid. It reminds me of the Sigma E25 blending brush.
Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (13)Marcelle Liquid Eyeliner Pen
Online this looked to have a really precise tip so I wanted to pick it up. I have tried other makeup from Marcelle that I think is pretty good so I have wanted to try more of their items.
Tarte_BeautyBoutique_Haul_April (9)Above are the samples I got with my order! Beauty Boutique offers 3 samples with every order similar to Sephora but at the time I was shopping most of their samples were deluxe sizes. I got a 4th  sample because they were offering Shisedo Ultimate Concentrate with every order as well (I have soo many of these little Shiseido samples I’ll never have to buy one LOL!).

Look for review posts soon!
