With it almost Valentine’s Day, I’ve seen so many beautiful pink makeup looks and was inspired to create my own. I’m not big on actually celebrating Valentine’s Day, but it is a nice reminder to share love with those you care about around you. Also, it’s a great excuse to buy a box of chocolates for myself!

The look I created is very soft, I was hoping to create more of a neon pink look but I didn’t have that colour in any of my palettes. Thinking back now, I probably could have used some of my blushes on my eyes since I have an array of pinks. Anyways, I’m still happy with the final look.

For the eyes, I used two palettes. My ever favourite Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (reviewed here) and a newer palette in my collection, the Jaclyn Hill Palette (review to come!) I picked out the pink shades and worked them together in my eye look.

I put concealer all over my eyes and used Peaches N’ Cream from Sweet Peach Palette as a base shadow. Sticking with the Sweet Peach Palette, I used Candied Peach in my crease and the outer edge of my lid. I then used Georgia to blend it out.

Since the pink shades in the Jacklyn Hill palette were shimmery, I used them on my lids. On the outer half of my lid, I used Sissy and blended it slightly with Faint on the inner portion of the lid.

I went back to my Sweet Peach Palette to grab Summer Yum to slightly deepen the outer edge of my crease. I also used a little bit of that and mixed with Just Peachy for my lower lid.

For the inner corner Highlight, I went into my Tarte Blush Bazaar Palette (reviewed here) and grabbed Worthy. This is such a pretty sparkly lilac shade and it worked so well with the look. To finish off the eyes, I added some mascara.

For blush I used Dainty from my Tarte Blush Bazaar Palette.  For highlight, I used my Wet N’ Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Blossom Glow. I received this in my Topbox and it’s currently in Project Pan Monthly for February. I’ll have a dedicated review for this in the next few days.

For the lips, I did a mixture of three lip items since I didn’t have a lipstick colour I thought worked well with my eye look on its own. I started with my Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in 220 Powerful. To make pink a little more peachy I added some of my Two Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Peach oil in Pure Peach. For a little sparkle, I then used my Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bare Sparkle, this is a gorgeous champagne shade.

Altogether, I love how everything looks. Pink works really well with my complexion and it’s so fun to wear when I’m not sticking to browns but still want something that won’t be too bold. How do you like wearing pink makeup?

Lots of Love,
Dal
