These last two months have consisted of a lot of self-reflection. I have been taking a few breaks from social media here and there over the last few months because I was starting to feel less like myself due to feeling isolated during this time of quarantine.
I don’t have too many empties to share over the last few months but I did want to include a post only because I figured I had been saving the empty containers anyways! I’m really excited for the the upcoming few weeks because I’ll have some reviews to share so look out for that!
Vasanti BrightenUp! Amplify Moisturizer. I really enjoyed this is a daily moisturizer. If you are interested in a full review of this product you can read it here. I would repurchase it here.
Murad Hydration Prebiotic 4-in-1 MultiCleanser and Night Fix Enzyme and Treatment. These two deluxe samples came in Sephora Rewards Bazar set that I used my points to get. In my March and April empties I used up the Murad Nutrient-Charged Water Gel. I must say how impressed I was with how much product was in these little sample containers and how long the samples lasted. I got about a weeks worth of product out of this. I really liked the texture of the both of these and I think they did well for my skin, however, I’ve discovered skincare items that I really like for my skin at a much more affordable price so I won’t be purchasing the full-size of these products.
Hair & Body
Amika Reset Pink Charcoal Scalp Cleansing Oil. This is also a product I got from Sephora, this time it was a gift with purchase. I also received the Exfoliating Shampoo as a duo with this product. While I didn’t care for the shampoo I actually did enjoy the this cleansing oil. You massage this into your scalp before washing your hair as a pre-treatment. It helps to draw out impurities and grease from the scalp which left my hair feeling extra clean. One thing to note is that you need to ensure you fully rinse this out. I found that if I missed rinsing out my hair really well it would feel greasy really quickly because this is an oil. Overall, I really liked this and I would purchase the full-size version.
LaLine Body Cream. I received this item as part of a gift set back in Christmas 2018 and shared it on the blog in 2019. You can see the other items I received by checking out the link here. The musk scent is soooo good, I really liked it. The only thing is that this product is very thick which is great during the winter when my skin feels extra dry but I was using this up until the end of June and I felt like it wouldn’t absorb into my skin as easily as other products. I do have other body creams that I enjoy more so I won’t be purchasing this.
CoverFx Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight. You might have seen this quite a few times on the blog since it was part of a few project pans over the years. Well, I’m finally tossing this out! It’s not empty but the formula is starting to dry up and it’s the same consistency anymore. As much as I love these products, I don’t think I’ll repurchase this since I have many other highlighters I haven’t used up.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Probably one of my all time favourite concealers, I used this up back in early May when I was still applying makeup for work zoom calls or when I left my home. I’ve since stopped wearing makeup everyday, especially when I’m just spending my day at home. I do have other concealers I can use now, but I will be repurchasing this soon.
Smashbox Super Fan Mascara. Another little deluxe mascara that I’ve used up! It was a nice dark black which I enjoy but it didn’t give my lashes any lift or thickens them so I won’t be purchasing a full-size of this.
These were my only empties for both May and June. They were very light months but I feel good about what I was able to use up.
What items did you use up in the last few months?
Lots of Love,
