I’ve shared a lot of hauls/reviews of Amazon products on the blog. They are mostly makeup or skincare related but today I wanted to share items I love from Amazon that don’t fall into those categories, well except for one of the items. I think it’s partly due to being in quarantine over the last few months but I’ve been buying almost everything I need from Amazon lately. I figured this would be a fun post and if you have something you bought from Amazon that you really enjoy I would love to know what it is! I’m always on the lookout for new items!
Note: This list is not sponsored and I don’t make any money from the links.
SunMine Electric Candle Lighter

I don’t know how I stumbled on this a few months ago but I’m so glad I did. When I went into quarantine I started lighting candles everyday in my home. One, I believe they bring good luck, and two it was a way to have nice scents in my home. I actually collect matchboxes but I really don’t like using them so I thought this would be a very convenient option.

I like that this candle lighter is rechargeable and has indicator lights to let you know how much power is still in the lighter. I purchased mine back in May and only charged it for the first time yesterday. It’s safe because I don’t have to worry about creating a flame and it has a locking feature so you don’t accidentally turn it on when you press the button.

The neck part of this is also bendable so you can adjust it to reach different candles and it’s nice because you don’t have to get your fingers close to the flame. I don’t know that it’s good enough to light up anything other than candles but I definitely use this a lot.
Macrame Plant Hanger

This was actually a gift I got at Christmas but now that I’ve been working from home I finally got a plant to put in it. I still have to hang it but I just love how well made this plant hanger is. I think it adds a nice boho touch to any room. Hanging plants is perfect if you want to save floor space and add a decorative touch to any room. Plus, if you love plants it’s a great way to care for vines and other hanging plants.

I love the style of this plant hanger with all the knots and beads. Amazon actually has a good selection of macrame plant hangers at really affordable prices, you can even buy them in sets with the pots.
Jade Summer Colouring Books

You might have seen me share on Instagram that I’ve really been enjoying colouring over the last few months. It helps me feel calm and is a fun activity that gives my eyes a break from my screen. When I first went into quarantine, I purchased a few books from Indigo which were good but I breezed through those really quickly. I then went on Amazon and found the Jade Summer books which had really good ratings. The pages are not a crispy white but I do like that each image is on it’s own page. The paper isn’t super thick so I wouldn’t recommend this if you like to colour with markers because it does bleed through the page, but if you use pencil crayons like myself it’s good! I like that there are quick colouring pages and ones that are bit more detailed and take time.

I personally love the flowers book but if you like to colour different items I highly recommend the Greatest Hits. Some of the images might be a little more for kids in this particular book but overall it has a very good variety of pages. There are other types of books on Amazon such as mandalas, animals, scenery, etc. If you’re serious about colouring these books might not be for you and I would recommend getting the Johanna Basford colouring books instead (ie. the Secret Garden etc.), But if you just like to colour casually and don’t want to spend too much money these books do the trick.
Xpreen Blackhead Remover Pore Vacuum

This is an item that I purchased from Amazon more recently but it came highly recommended by my sister. My skin is generally clear but I do have blackheads around my nose. I usually use nose strips but those can be painful and not super effective. I’ve used this pore vacuum about 4 times now and I do notice a difference in the appearance of my blackheads. They aren’t as prominent on my nose. I use this two times a week in the evening after cleansing my face and it’s even better if you use it after taking a shower. You have three suction options. I started off using the lowest setting but have since switched to the normal setting.

This has different attachments meant to target different skin concerns. The Big Round Probe is for blackheads and acne around the face, the Small Round Probe is for blackheads around the nose, the Oval Probe helps reduce fine lines and the Small Rejuvenate probe exfoliates dead skin cells. My set actually has two Big Round Probes and no Rejuvenate probe which is a bit of a bummer but at least then I can save the other Big Round Probe for someone else. I use mostly the Small Round Probe to remove the blackheads around my nose and the Oval Probe to target the fine lines around my face.

The set also came with metal tools that are used to pop pimples. It also came with additional sponge tips to replace inside the suction area when it gets dirty. This is a really great addition to my skincare routine.

These are a few items that I have purchased recently from Amazon that I have been enjoying. I feel like recently I’ve mostly been doing a lot of shopping on Amazon mostly for things around my home that I wouldn’t have purchased if I wasn’t in quarantine such as the colouring books and pot holders for plants (I went from having 5 plants to 18 plants over the last two months!)
Have you been doing a lot of Amazon or online shopping recently? If so, I’d love to know what is your most favourite recent purchase!
Lots of Love,
Dal
Thank you for your review on the blackhead vacuum. I’ve been debating getting one, but have been hesitant. It’s good to know that it works – I’m finding the nose strips ineffective and want to also reduce the look/size of my pores. Thank you, Dal! xo

me too! I think it’s pretty good if you use every other week as to not irritate the skin too much.
