What a summer this has been! Toronto probably had the best weather in a long time. So many sunny and warm days with temperatures over 30° C (85° F). We hardly had any rain. It’s unfortunate that so many things were closed because of COVID-19 but patios and restaurants were open with physical distancing policies in place. It’s quickly turning to Fall now which I don’t mind. The weather fluctuates a bit more but I honestly love this time of year and watching the leaves on trees turn colour. Plus, I can start wearing my fall booties and sweaters!
I think I did a decent job of using up a lot of items during July and August. I feel like a lot of items were close to being empty but will probably make it into my September stash because they had a few more uses in them.
Body Care

Yves Rocher Monoi de Tahiti. This is a product I seem to always have on hand whenever it’s summer because I absolutely love the scent. It has a fresh, floral scent that reminds me of vacation. I haven’t shopped for anything from Yves Rocher in a long time but I know that whenever I do I always buy multiples of the things I like and I love their body washes. I’m sure I have another one of these in my stash so I won’t be repurchasing this anytime soon.
Cuccio Somatology Yogahhhh! Calm + Clean Epsom Salt Hand + Body Wash. I received this item in my FabFitFun Winter 2019 Box. While this is not a super lathering formula it does feel really good on my skin and leaves it feeling clean. It has a very nice mild scent. I really loved using this before I would shave my legs because it left them feeling really soft. I only used this as a body wash because I love epsom salt in my bath. While I did like this product I won’t be purchasing it because it’s very costly for what you get ($39.95 USD for an 8 oz bottle).

Kopari Coconut Melt. I got this deluxe sample product in a Sephora Favourites set and I swear this is just fancy coconut oil. I could have just bought the same product at the grocery store. Coconut oil is hydrating but I find it can feel greasy on my skin. I won’t be re-purchasing this.
Skincare & Makeup

Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Boosting Anti-Aging Serum. I’m not sure how I got this sample but I did like the formula. I use so much skin care lately that I can’t really pin point whether a specific product has improved my skin or not but the ingredients look really good; it has black truffle that has antioxidant properties and hyaluronic acid and fatty acids which all help to improve the texture of skin. I would repurchase this because the serum was thin and absorbed into my skin easily. The only thing holding me back is I have other products to get through.

Dr. Roebuck’s Face. I received this in a Topbox a long time ago and while I liked it in the beginning I started to feel like it was maybe a tad to thick for my liking and stopped using it very often. I would apply it every now and again when my skin was feeling extra dry or tight until I finally used it up. I won’t be repurchasing this.
Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Oil. I’ll definitely not repurchase this. I hardly used this one and it started getting that old oil scent. While I do have dry skin I really don’t like the oily feeling this left on my face and I didn’t even apply that much! Plus, I really don’t know what the benefits of this are. I’d rather add an oil or serum that I know will improve my skin and feel good.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Tinted Primer. Oh I love this primer under lashes or for everyday! I already have new one in my makeup stash and a backup in my cabinet! hahaha! If you want a review of this product I have a short one here.

Consonant Come Clean Wipes. I really like these wipes, but I’m no longer purchasing disposable wipes. I had purchased a 3 pack of this and I’m finally use up on them. I have been saying this for a while now but I really want to try other items from this brand. I think it’s about time I did!
Hair Care

Vichy Laboratories Dercos Technique Anti-Dandruff. I usually don’t get fancy anti-dandruff shampoo but I was at a L’Oreal sale and this product was there so I figured I would test it out. While I thought it was good I really don’t think this beats out my Head & Shoulders Shampoo.
Head & Shoulders Conditioner. OK, I’ve said many great things about Head & Shoulders, I just love this brand for my hair. It leaves it feeling really clean. I usually go back and forth between Head & Shoulders and other shampoos but I always keep a conditioner and shampoo of this in my shower.

These were all my empties over the last two months. What items made it onto your empties stash?
Lots of Love,

So many people love Head & Shoulders, the smooth and silky one you use sounds really nice! I use a lovely face oil from Trilogy and 3-4 drops is all I need when my skin is super dry and it makes such a difference without being greasy.

I use head and shoulders quite a bit and really like it for my hair. Plus then I can go longer between washes because it’s so deep cleaning.
I’ll have to look into your face oil. I’m always up for trying new ones!
