A few weeks back I was sent some items from the new Quo Beauty launch. It’s been some time since I’ve played around with new makeup so I was really excited to receive this package. Although I haven’t tried everything in this line, I wanted to share some stand-out products that I’ve tried so far.
Quo Beauty is a Shoppers Drug Mart brand and has been around for a long time. I know a lot of my makeup firsts were from this brand back when I had no idea what I was doing with makeup. It’s great to see the brand evolve and come out with new products.
All items listed below were sent in PR
Featherweight Cream Blush in Heavenly, Pure and Angelic
($14.00 CAD)
I feel like cream products are really having a moment right now and I love it! I think it’s because trends have been leaning towards natural lately so having just a wash of colour on the face is more desirable vs something that is really intense. I’ve always loved creamed blush and these are hands down my most favourite item from this launch! Hence, why I HAVE to talk about them first! One, the colours are very nice. I have three from the release but there are seven in total from the launch. The formula is very creamy and blends so easily into the skin.
You don’t need very much, just a little drop on each cheek is enough to add a pretty flush and you can easily layer these if you wanted. They sit on the skin nicely and just look extremely natural! I love the shade Heavenly because it’s very light and the rose tone suits my skin so well! I do like Angelic as a pretty pink colour I’ll wear in the Spring and I feel like I can pull off Pure which as more of a bronzer/blush when I tan in the summer. Either way these are so great and definitely worth checking out if you like cream blushes.
Cosmic Cream Shadow in Dark Matter & Solstice
($16.00 CAD)
These are pretty and glittery cream shadows. While the intensity of the colour may not be strong as something like the Stila Glitter & Glow shadows I actually love blending these out for a wash of colour over the lid. For me, I can totally get away with wearing these as everyday shadows because they blend out so much.
My favourite of the two colours is Dark right now because it works so perfect as a Fall shade but I would wear them both for any occasion. If you want a more intense look you can definitely layer this. I recommend using your fingers as this doesn’t apply really well with a brush. It’s also great if you wanted to use it as a glitter liner.
Sheer Lip Paint in Poised
($12.00 CAD)
I was not expecting much from this lip stain but I actually really love it! It provides just a sheer pop of colour which is nice if you just want to enhance your pout. What I really love about this is that it’s very creamy and leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated.
As someone who does not like wearing stuff on my lips, I am totally fine wearing something like this all the time because it is so comfortable. I also think the bottle is super cute.
Quo Lipstick in Cherry Soda & Butter Up
($10.00 CAD)
These mini lipsticks are creamy and have a bold colour. Again, I don’t like wearing lip stuff and I don’t usually go for really bright pops of colour but I do enjoy Cherry Soda. It’s too bad that these transfer onto masks but hopefully when things are back to what they used to be or at least until it’s safe to see people in person I will be able to wear this more.
Right now, I just enjoy putting it on for myself. While I think that for the cost these lipsticks are pretty tiny, I also feel like it makes it easier to apply them because they are so small.
Bronzing Powder in Natural Tan and Blush in Rose Water
($14.00 CAD)
I do love wearing powder bronzer and blush now and then and these two are just perfection. I love that the powders are super fine so it blends nicely into the skin and gives just a wash of colour. They come off really light so it’s very nice to build them up if you want to.
The do have some fall out when I dip my brushes into them so it is something to note. Overall, the shades are very natural and the payoff is perfect if you are looking for something that is subtle.

Final Thoughts
These are all the items I’m loving so far from the new Quo Beauty launch. I still have some products that I haven’t tried yet but so far I’m pretty impressed with the items I have tried. For a drug store brand with generally more affordable prices I think their makeup is worth checking out.
Have you tried anything from the new Quo Beauty Line?
Lots of Love,
Dal

I haven’t tried anything from the new line, but then again, I’ve not purchased much makeup these days. I do like the look of those cream blushes!
