I didn’t do much shopping on the Sephora website for their holiday sales and promotions this year. I just can’t justify purchasing more makeup and skincare when I have so much at home. Also, with being at home most of this year, it really just didn’t make much sense to splurge like I usually do. I did, however, pick up one gift set and that’s the First Aid Beauty Holiday Set because it is actually full of products I enjoy and will use over the next year. I figured I’d get them now while the box was available versus buying everything separately later.
Price
$64.00 CAD ($167.00 CAD value). Since the products in this set are full-size I am actually quite impressed with the gift set price.
Pure Face Cleanser (2oz)
Irritant-free cleanser that removes makeup, dirt and grime. I have raved about this cleanser before. I even have a full review dedicated to it that you can read here. It’s great as a daily gentle cleanser that is powerful enough to break down makeup. It’s not irritating and is suitable for sensitive skin. It really is a great overall cleanser. This is part of the reason why I wanted to get this gift set!
Ultra Repair Cream (6oz)
The other reason why I wanted this gift set is for the repair cream. I’ve used it before but I don’t think I’ve ever shared a review on the blog. This is a whipped cream that hydrates the skin which you can use on the face and body.
I’ve used it mostly on my face and find that it instantly hydrates my skin, but more than that I actually think that when I use this product consistently, my dry skin seems to start feeling a lot more supple in the long run.
Eye Duty Niacinamide (.5 oz)
This is an illuminating eye cream that hydrates and brightens, reducing the appearance of dark circles over time. I’ve been doing a lot more research into the benefits of certain ingredients in skincare. I know niacinamide is becoming more and more popular because it helps improve the skin barrier, improving the texture of the skin as well as treating acne and reducing wrinkles. All pluses for me.
What’s great about this cream is that niacinamide is higher on the ingredient list. The cream itself has a golden tone and little micro shimmers to make the under eye area look bright. I’ve worn it on it’s own and love how bright my under eye area looks.
Ultra Repair Lip Therapy (.5 oz)
While I’ve never tried this one item from First Aid Beauty yet, I’m really excited about it! I don’t know about you, but even though I’m not outside in the cold air all the time like I usually would be, my skin and lips are still getting really dry. It must be from being indoors all day with the heater on! This long lasting lip treatment protects, hydrates and smooths the lips.
It has a peppermint scent but it’s not very strong. It has a smooth and light ointment feel that coats the lips without feeling too heavy. I have quite a collection of lip treatments that I bust out everytime the weather starts to get cooler and I’m sure to give this one a try really soon!
Facial Radiance Pads (60 pads/2.5 inches)
I haven’t used an exfoliating pad in the longest time! usually I just apply my products directly by hand or on a reusable pad. However, I was still really excited to give this a try. The pads have lactic and glycolic acids to exfoliate, tone, and brighten the skin.
You can use it one or twice a day after cleansing. Since the pads have acids I used them in the evening. The pad itself is very gentle and is super convenient to use after cleansing.
Thoughts
All in all this is great set if you wanted to try First Aid Beauty or if you are a fan of the brand. I also think this makes a great gift if you are thinking about getting it for someone on your list. What’s great about this set is that it is a full skincare regime from cleansing to moisturizing. For the price of the set versus buying every item separately I am very happy that I decided to pick this up.
Did you do any shopping for Holiday sets this year?
Lot of Love,
Dal

This looks like such a great set! And what a great deal too for full size items! I’ve been getting into Niacinamide too, it seems to be in a lot of products lately and it sounds like it would be great in an eye cream like that.
