There is something about this time of year that makes me think of glitter and sparkles. I think it’s because of all the twinkly lights and the excitement of the season and New Year. Side note, I am really excited for the new year and hopefully putting 2020 behind us!

A few months ago I was sent the OPI Shine and Bright Limited Edition Set from and I’ve been wearing the nail polishes over the last few weeks and just enjoying my sparkly nails!

The Colours that came in the set are All A’Twitter In Glitter, Bling It On, Puttin’ On The Glitz. What I love about these colours is that they will look so cute for the new year but can also be worn throughout the whole year.

Here is how I wore the nail polishes;

Step 1 – Apply a base coat to the nails. I have one from Yves Rocher that is anti-breakage.

Step 2 – Apply a solid colour nail polish. Since the OPI Set has more of a translucent base I used other nail polish colours that I thought would match the glitters so help make my nails pop. Alternatively, if you enjoy the more sheer look these polishes look great on their own.

Step 3 – Apply two to three coats of the OPI Shine and Bright Set. These are really chunking glitters so I find adding a few coats really helps give them a lot of dimension.

Step 3 – Apply a top coat

I thought it would be fun to wear all three colours at the same time. I mean, why not! It’s funny because I used to wear multiple colours on my nails in my early twenties, so it’s kind of fun to wear them again. The shades look all good together but they would very chic on their own, with or without a colour underneath.

These are my New Years nails and while I will be at home I thought it was still fun to do something to get me excited for 2021! What are your plans as we ring in the new year soon? Are you able to celebrate with family or friends or will you, like me, be celebrating it with your close household? No matter how you celebrate, wishing you the happiest new year and looking forward to catching up in 2021!!

Lots of Love,

Thank you to for generously sending the OPI Shine Bright Set for me to play with. Their website has many nail polish brands that you can check out for yourself!
