While my evening routine is very elaborate and filled with multiple steps and multiple products that I might alternate between. My morning routine is really simple lately. I like to just give my face a quick wash add a few products then get on with my day. Honestly, I keep this simple so I can move on to enjoying my morning coffee. I have three steps; cleanse, hydrate, and SPF. There might be days that I’ll add a serum but mostly I stick to these easy steps.

Cleanse: Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel

I have to say, sometimes there are some hidden gems at the drug store and honestly, this is definitely one that I think is worth trying out. This cleanser is super gentle and made for sensitive skin. It’s recognized by the Canadian Dermatological Association and is paraben-free, oil-free, soap-free, non-comedogenic, perfume-free, hypoallergenic. It doesn’t foam up like other cleansers I have but it has a really nice creamy feeling that makes this easy to use over the skin without feeling like I’m stripping it. Don’t let the gentleness of the formula fool you though, I use this at times in the evening to remove my makeup because it does provide a deep clean and is great at removing even my waterproof mascara. It leaves my skin feeling super clean without any residue or tightness. It’s honestly just a great overall cleanser. Plus, it’s a good size bottle that has lasted me over a year now and I love that it’s a pump that just adds to the easiness of this product.

Hydrate: Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Mist

For really quick hydration after I cleanse my face I absolutely LOVE this mist. There is something about using a mist in the morning that just helps wake me up. Plus it’s just a really simple step to do. This includes Hyaluronic Acid which really helps to hydrate and plump my skin, as well as other skin benefits like black oat which has its own water-retaining properties like amino acids, linoleic acid which helps the skin’s barrier to actively keep out irritants. I mean this product is great! Also, it’s from the drug store!

SPF: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen 50 SPF

I love a lot of the products of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost line. This gives broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. This is a great sunscreen because it is very hydrating. This blends really nicely into my skin and doesn’t leave a white cast. The only thing I struggle with is that if it’s a really warm day this tends to make my makeup melt and leaves me feeling a little greasy. However, right now I’m not wearing very much except for around my eyes. This also is great to wear over the body because it’s water-resistant which is fantastic for vacation if you go swim! It’s also great to use a moisturizer because it has hyaluronic acid and is super hydrating.

Well, that’s it! A really simple routine that I can quickly do in the morning. Even though I’m not rushing out the door like I used to when I’d have to head into the office, I still find that I enjoy saving time in the morning. Plus, this works as a great base that I can always add steps to as I need if my skin is needing something extra or if I’m testing new products. As I mentioned, my multi-step routine is reserved for the evenings that I’m excited to share soon!

What does your morning routine look like?

Lots of Love,
Dal
