Summer Morning Routine with Garnier

I’m constantly switching up my routine for morning and evening in hopes that I find the best products for my skin each season and because I simply get tired of using the same thing over and over.

The last few weeks I’ve been testing some items sent to me from Garnier that I’ve worked into my morning routine.

Let’s start with my first step; cleansing. I love cleansers that have citrus scents especially to help wake me up in the morning and the Clearly Brighter Gentle Smoothing Scrub* is really nice for that.
Morning Routine 2017_LBL (9)I don’t usually do exfoliating cleansers everyday because of their rough texture but this is surprisingly really soft and gentle on my skin. The formula is like a gel cleanser with argun nut shell. I find the the shells feel really smooth. Garnier claims that this can be used for all skin types including sensitive skin.
Morning Routine Collage1 It helps to smooth my skin and prep it for my next step which is whatever face spray I have at hand.

Recently, I’ve been using a sample of Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. This spray is really nice to hydrate my skin and prep it for moisturizer. Morning Routine 2017_LBL (1)It has a beautiful rose scent that I personally like. I also love the mist this creates, it’s very fine but wide so two-three sprites will cover my whole face.

My next step after that is moisturizer. There usually isn’t a moisturizer I don’t like and the Moisture Rescue* is no exception.
Morning Routine 2017_LBL (3)This is simply a great everyday fragrance-free and oil-free moisturizer that feels really light on the skin and absorbs really quickly.
Morning Routine Collage2It has Vitamin C and E and an SPF of 15. I appreciate the SPF, even if in the summer I’d want a bit more, I like that it has any coverage.

My stand out product for the morning is the Ombrelle Ultra Advanced Tinted Lotion with SPF 60*.
Morning Routine 2017_LBL (6)I did try a tinted lotion last year from Clinque which I quite enjoyed for my face but this one from Garnier has a higher SPF. This is non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), water resistant for up to 80 minutes, and hypoallergenic. I also LOVE that this is fragrance free. I really don’t like the smell of sunscreen so I’m glad I don’t have it here. This is a mineral sunscreen which is new to me.
Morning Routinge Collage3Upon further reading I found that unlike most sunscreens mineral sunscreen doesn’t get absorbed into the skin but instead sits on top and reflects the suns rays. I mostly just love this because it feels really nice on the skin and the tint gives me a little bit of coverage. For the summer I move away from foundation so I use mostly BB Creams to add a bit of coverage and then use concealer around my eye area or where I need more coverage. This does the same thing but has a really high SPF so I won’t need to worry if I’m out in the sun all day.

My next steps after this are to add my makeup which I might post since my makeup over the summer is pretty minimal but great for those who like to rock a simpler look like I do!

What’s your morning routine like? What steps do you take?

Lots of Love,

Disclosure: products with * were received through PR, all other products mentioned were purchased by me. My opinions are always honestly given whether a product is sent to me or not.

Bye Bye Empties, September 2017

September has been a busy month for me. With my sister’s wedding at the end of September, most of my time was spent helping her get prepared. September has been a beautiful month and was super warm here in Toronto! It’s like summer finally came and we had some super fabulous days! It’s actually been relatively nice so far in October. Except for a few cooler or grey days, it’s been pretty nice. I’m looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving! I’m planning on watching scary movies and shows everyday this month!

I didn’t use up too many items for September mostly because I’ve been using and trying new items!

I didn’t finish up The Body Shop’s Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover but I think it’s old now and it was time to throw it out. I didn’t really think this was that good for removing eye makeup like I would have wanted it to. That’s probably why I hardly used it. I don’t think I would repurchase this.

I did a review of Caudalie’s Premier Cru The Eye Cream that you can read about here. Essentially, I didn’t see a difference in the appearance of fine lines so I don’t think I’ll repurchase this.

I am absolutely in love with Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist. I did include it as part of my Summer Morning Routine. This smells so good and the mist is very fine which is super impressive for a sample size product. Unfortunately, I don’t think Sephora carries it anymore, but looking on the Jurlique website they have a lot of other beautiful face mists that I’d be curious to try.

Haircare & Body Care

I have been loving this body wash from a girl’s gotta spa! in Energizing Citrus. Talk about a nice smelling product! I love citrus and this one smells super fresh and natural. It helps wake me up in the morning and always put me in a good mood. There is so much that I love about this body wash and you can read all about it here. I would repurchase this.

Lastly, I have finished up a sample of healthy sexy hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner. I think I got this in one of my subscription boxes. I really liked how it made my hair feel whenever I used it before styling. It left my hair feeling very soft and smooth after I blow-dried it. I don’t think I would repurchase this just yet because I do have other leave-in conditioners and hair products that I want to use up.

There you have it! My little pile of empty items for September.

What have you used up in September?

Lots of Love,

Bye Bye Empties, August 2017

Fairwell August! I took a little vacation during the month which really made the time go by quickly because I was constantly busy. I traveled to the Mediterranean and it was so nice to by the beach and enjoy super warm weather! I also went to the Canadian National Exhibition which I did enjoy this year as well. It’s starting to get chillier, with temperature dipping below seasonal but hopefully there are a few nice days before the official end of summer.

Hair Care

Of all the shampoo brands, Head & Shoulders is my favourite. I wash my hair two or three times a week max because I have dry hair so I love that this keeps me feeling super clean between washes. I already have another shampoo open to replace this one.

I received a few shampoo and conditioner samples in the mail/magazines so I gave them a try this month. I have never used Garnier’s Whole Blends before but their Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils shampoo and conditioner was very hydrating. I did notice my hair felt smooth and styling afterwards was a breeze. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Garnier’s Fructus Damage Eraser, but then again I’ve never been a fan of Fructus. It was fine for cleaning my hair but I don’t think I’ll purchase the full size.

I used up a sample of Novex Brazilian Keratin Protect and Repair Cream I received in my May 2016 Topbox. I got three uses out of this product. The last time I used it was after my vacation and it really helped restore my hair after being in the sun so long. I think I have more samples of products from Novex that I will be trying out next.

Face and Skin Care

I have owned the YesTo Grapefruit daily facial scrub for quite some time and I’ve finally used it up. I love the smell of grapefruit to wake me up in the morning, however, the exfoliating bits were too harsh for my skin so I don’t think I would repurchase this.

Through Topbox, subscribers can sign up for a program called Glam Sense where they receive products to test out for free in exchange for a review. That’s how I got this tiny sample of Cetaphil’s Nourishing Moisture Body Wash. In my teens and early twenties I was a huge fan of Cetaphil face wash so I was excited to try this. I thought it was alright though and doesn’t wow me enough to want to purchase a full size bottle. If I ever saw it on sale though I might be inclined to buy it because I like that it’s unscented.

I’ve had this Younique Lucrative Lip Gloss since 2015! It’s pretty much empty but I had been holding on to it for who knows what. It was included in my 3 Summer Lip Essentials back in summer of 2015 and I really do love the formula, nonetheless, it’s time I finally let this go.

Another item that makes me sad is empty is my Benefit They’re Real Mascara. I LOVE this mascara as well as Benefit’s Roller Lash. It’s the perfect formula and wand design for my lashes. This sample came in my either my Topbox or in a Sephora order, I can’t be sure. Fingers crossed I get another sample sometime soon so I don’t have to purchase the full size, but if not I’ve still got my Roller Lash to hold me over.

That’s all I’ve used up for August! What was in your empties bin this month? Have you tried any of the products listed above?

Lots of Love,

Unboxing Topbox, July 2017

Price: $12.00 CAD (plus tax, free shipping) 4 items.

Topbox is a Canadian monthly beauty subscription service. Each month you have the option of getting a surprise box or to swap it for a prive box where all the products are from one brand and you know what they are. This month I opted for a surprise box!

Prices are in Canadian Dollars

Essie Nail Lacquer in b’aha moment!
Full Size Price: $9.00 (13.5 mL)
Topbox July 2017_LBL (7)
Ah! This colour is so fun! It’s a nice raspberry that is perfect for summer. I have quite a few nail lacquers from Essie because I like the formula. It’s a bit thinner so you need about 3 coats to make it opaque but I like that it dries pretty quickly in between.

LARITZY Cosmetics Undressed Liquid Lip Stain in shade Pebble
Full Size Price: $21.00 (1oz)
Topbox July 2017_LBL (2)
I did a swatch of this on the back of my hand and I find this dries down to a pretty matte. I love the dark nude shade, it’s very pretty although I think I might save it to use in the fall. PLUS I have a few other lipsticks in this colour so I’m not rushing to use this just yet.

Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer
Full Size Price: $27.00 (5 g), Sample Price: $8.64 (1.6 g)
Topbox July 2017_LBL (5)
Ya! A new Benefit product! This is meant to be a soft-focus, lightweight concealer. To apply you pat and blend this under the eyes or around the face. I used this about a day or two ago and it reminds me of Becca’s Under Eye Brightening Corrector in consistency and it’s as lightweight as that formula but it’s a concealer. I like a little more coverage under my eyes but I do think that it’ll work fine if I’m wearing a full coverage foundation.

Full Size Price: $79.00 (50 g), Sample Price: $23.70 (15 g)
Topbox July 2017_LBL (3)
I love receiving Glamglow samples because the full size of any of their products is so very expensive in my opinion. For this treatment, you apply a thin layer over the skin and after 5-20 mins wash it off. I would probably use this as a spot treatment every week or so and I think this will last me quite a long time.

BONUS! Garnier Skinactive Moisture Bomb
Topbox July 2017_LBL (4)
I absolutely love this little moisturizer. Garnier surprised me lately with their products and I’ve been enjoying them ever since. If you’re curious of my thoughts on Garnier BB Creams or skincare products you can read them here. This sample reminds me of the Bliss drench n’ quench because it’s very light and creamy. It feels almost gel-like.

Topbox July 2017_LBL (6)

My Thoughts

Topbox did not disappoint this month! I received items that I’m very excited to try. I’m really curious about how I like the Benefit concealer as I try it with different foundations and how well it holds up in the heat. I’m also in love with the colour of my Essie polish and can’t wait to clear my skin with some Glamglow masking tonight! Total Value of my box; $62.34 (not including bonus item)

Did you get Topbox this month? Anything excite you from the box?

Lots of Love,

Summer Night Time Routine, 2017

In my previous posts I have written about my morning routine and my summer makeup routine and I wanted to include my night time routine now to round it all up!Summer Night Time Routine LBL (2)On most days I wear makeup so I will use micellar water and/or makeup wipes to remove it. I have been using Bioderma’s Sensibio H2O to remove my eye makeup. I did a review of Bioderma which you can see here. I then use a makeup wipe to remove makeup from the rest of my face and down my neck. I’ve been using the Sephora’s Rose Cleansing Wipes. These wipes are OK. The wipe itself can feel stiff and a bit irritating if I use it around my eyes, but for everywhere it works pretty well and I can feel it hydrating slightly after I use it. Once a week I will switch out the Sephora wipe with my Anthony Glycolic Exfoliating & Resurfacing Wipes.
Summer Night Time Routine LBL (6)These wipes have a rough texture so it would irritate my skin if I used it too often but I do love the wipes whenever I want to deep cleanse and exfoliate my skin.

Next, I wash my face with my MUJI Foam Face Wash for sensitive skin. I read a lot of rave reviews about this company from Stashmatters (she gives the best and most thorough reviews!) so when I passed by the store I had to go in and check it out! I absolutely love this cleanser!
Summer Night Time Routine LBL (3)It’s gentle so I can use this around my eyes and doesn’t feel harsh on my skin but it really helps remove any remaining residue and leaves my skin feel squeaky clean.

Another cleanser that I have used on and off over the last 6 weeks is the Peter Thompson Roth anti-aging cleansing gel. I bought this gel from Sephora when I bought the Peter Thomas Roth Skin Saver set and this particular cleanser had a lot of good reviews. After using it for some time I think it’s only OK. It does not remove my makeup at all and unlike the MUJI wash, this one does irritate around my eyes. It’s fine for the days I don’t wear makeup or in the morning instead. I’m only including it here because I wanted to share my thoughts because since I have been testing it out. It claims to be anti-aging and brightens the skin with glycolic, citric and salicylic acid. I will use this product until it finishes but I don’t think I would repurchase it.
Summer Night Time Routine LBL (5)After cleansing I like to use the Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion p.m. oil since purchasing this from Sephora 6 weeks ago (see the haul here). This has 1.5% retinol and vitamin C and E and is designed for all skin types. I’m very impressed with this. I’ve been using it for about four weeks and I’ve actually noticed a difference in my skin. For instance, I do have one wrinkle that is pretty deep above my eyebrow and after placing a drop over it for the last few weeks it has definitely been less visible! I apply one drop on my forehead, around my eyes, and my laugh lines then massage it in with my fingers. I also love the way this dropper is designed. It is curved which makes it easy to drop the product directly onto my skin.
Summer Night Time Routine LBL (4)The last step in my routine is to apply a night cream and I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Nutritious Night Vita-Mineral Intense Nourishing Creme/Mask. This is also designed for all skin types and it’s a very thick cream. I love Estee Lauder skin care and this feels really nice on the skin. I notice in the morning I’m a lot more hydrated since I’ve started using this.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been using this series of products consistently and I feel like my skin is looking and feeling better.

There you have! This is everything I do at night. If you wanted to see my morning routine click here or if you want to see my summer makeup routine click here.

Let me know what is part of your night time routine. What steps do you take?

Lots of love,

Easy Summer Makeup Routine

I keep my makeup pretty simple because I just can’t seem to wake up early enough to complete a full-face look before I head out the door! I thought I’d share my makeup application for the summer because it only takes me about 15 minutes to put together so it’s great if you are in a rush.

First things first is my morning face routine, if you missed that post you can read it here.

Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (7)To start, I’ve been forgoing foundation and sticking to tinted moisturizers or BB creams. My current fave is Garnier’s Ombrelle tinted SPF which I’ve mentioned in my morning routine. After BB cream I’ll use concealer to add coverage to the areas under my eyes and around my nose. I have been using my Nars Radiant Concealer because it gives good coverage without being heavy and blends easily into my skin. I do about 3 dots under my eyes, a little line down the bridge of my nose to highlight, and then on the sides of my nose to cover redness I get around there.

Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (5)I’ll do a quick eye look using only two shadows from one of my Smashbox Covershot palettes (see my review of the palette by clicking here)

Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (6)I have been loving Ablaze for summer. I put Throwback in the crease and Moccasin over the lid and blend it together.

I don’t always wear liner because it takes the most of my time, but when I have an extra five minutes I will do a winged liner using Kat Von D’s Mad Max Brown Liner. I never skip mascara and right now Sephora’s Full action Mascara in brown is great at separating my lashes and making them appear thicker.Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (9) I have pretty full brows but for extra impact I’ll add Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil. It really is goof proof for me because it’s a thicker angled pencil that I can quickly swipe in-between the hairs in my brow to give it a soft definition.

Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (14)After, I take a fluffy brush and put Physician’s Formula #InstaReady Bronzer all over the perimeter of my face. I love that this bronzer is light and buildable. It’s surprisingly smooth and never looks patchy.  This is more cool toned which works great for my skin tone and leaves me with a more natural look.

Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (13)I like keeping my look bronze so I’ve been wearing Sephora’s blush in Apricot sheen. I recently bought this because it was on sale and I’m so happy I did! It is a nice peachy-bronze with gold reflex that isn’t in your face but adds a bit of sheen and highlights my cheeks. This is also a light blush so I can build it up or keep sheer.

Summer Makeup Routine 2017 (10)Last is lip balm. I have two that I love equally and keep in my bag. One is Bite Beauty’s amazing Agave Balm. It smells great and feels super comfortable on the lips. It has no colour but gives shine to my natural lip. The other is Fresh Sugar Balm sample in Rose which has a light red tint. I like this as a pick-me-up if I’m going out after work. It also has SPF 15 adding a bit more protection for my lips.

Although I’ve listed out quite a few products they don’t require too much work to apply so I never take long to put them on.

What’s a summer look you love wearing?

Lots of Love,

Bye Bye Empties, April 2017

I thought I’d get through more items this month. I have so many things that feel empty but every time I go to use them I seem to be able to squeeze out more products! Hopefully this just means I’ll have more items to share for May!

SkincareEmpties April 2017_LBL (2)

Fresh Rose Face Mask
I got this for Christmas in one of Fresh’s skincare kits. I really enjoy these kits because Fresh products on their own are pricey in my opinion but getting little samples in a set always feel more cost effective to me. If I remember correctly, my set came with a cleanser, two lip balms, and this Rose Mask. I love the smell of roses and this mask is very fragrant. This is infused with real rose petals. I really loved using this. I got a good 4-5 masks out of the 15mL jar which is really great. I was instantly hydrated with this mask and I loved wearing this before I put on my makeup.

Empties April 2017_LBL (3)Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb
I JUST got this in my Topbox for April but I had to use it! I like that this mask has a blue layer that helps it keep it’s shape until it’s applied on the skin. After you have placed on your face, you peel away the blue layer and leave on the sheet mask. This was such a super hydrating mask. I really loved this and felt pampered when I applied it. I’m definitely picking up more!

Empties April 2017_LBL (5)

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in the Hydrating Formula
I got this from the Smashbox Booth from last year’s Generation Beauty. I got so many items at that event, if you were curious to see what they were click here. This was really good the first 2-3 times I used it but after being open for only a week it development that bad makeup chemical scent! I thought it was a bit strange because I left the plastic packaging on the tube until I opened it so it wouldn’t have been exposed to the air. I’m just going to throw this out. I do like the hydrating formula so who knows if I’ll pick it up in the future.

Empties April 2017_LBL (4)Benefit They’re Real Tinted Primer
I got this sample from Topbox December 2015 and did do a review of this as well here.  I know, these products are really old, but they surprisingly lasted so long! This doesn’t really do much for my lashes in terms of added length, volume or thickness but something about this makes it perfect for everyday or those I’m not wearing makeup but I want my eyes to pop kind of days. See, I have long lashes but the tips are blonde so you’d never know. For me, tinted primer is great to coat my lashes so that you can see their full length without it looking like I’m wearing mascara. It’s not like wearing a brown mascara, this formula is much thinner. It has a rubber applicator that does help to separate the lashes if you wanted to use it as primer. I already own the full size of this.

Benefit Roller Lash in Black
I got this sample in the same Topbox as the tinted primer. Now I had never used the Roller Lash before but I quickly fell in love with it! I love the curve of the brush which helps lift the lashes and I enjoy the formula because it’s not clumpy. I already own a large size in both black and brown!

What items did you finish up this month?

Lots of Love,

Unboxing Topbox, April 2017

Price: $12.00 CAD (plus tax, free shipping) 4 items.

Topbox is a Canadian monthly beauty subscription service. Each month you have the option of getting a surprise box or to swap it for a prive box where all the products are from one brand and you know what they are. This month I opted for the surprise box.

Cake Beauty The ‘Do Gooder Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray
Full Size: $19.00 (200mL), $4.75 (50mL)

I have few sample size dry shampoos that I’ve been loving but I’m really excited to have received this one from Cake Beauty! I love Cake Beauty for soooo many reasons; they have delicious smelling products that work really well for my skin and they are a Canadian Brand. This product is also cruelty-free and vegan! I tested this out in my hair and I can confirm that this leaves absolutely no residue which is super important to me. I have brown hair so I really don’t like when some dry shampoos have a white cast.

LARITZY Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Retro Red
Full Size: $18.00, this is full size

I haven’t swatched this but I don’t have any red-toned lip liners so I’m glad to be adding this to my collection. It looks like it’ll be creamy like the description says so I’m looking forward to giving this a try. I usually love wearing lip liners and then topping them with a clear gloss for long-lasting, shiny colour.

China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Urban-Night
Full Size: $10.00 (14mL), this is full size

This is a beautiful deep purple that is gorgeous and edgy. For spring I tend towards more pastel and light shades but I totally rock colours like this in the summer and fall! I have a few other lacquers from China Glaze and although it’s not my favourite formula I still like wearing it once in a while.

Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo and Conditioner
Full Size: $20.00 (250mL) each, Sample Size: $4.00 (50mL) each
prices based off of

I love that this duo is designed for frizzy, colour treated hair. This has 100% vegan ingredients. The label also reads that it has antifadecomplex with camellia oil. I’m going to save this duo for my upcoming summer travels!

BONUS! Garnier Skinactive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask and L’Oreal Hydra Genius

The L’Oreal samples are foil samples but they feel pretty full. I think you can get two uses out of each which is nice. I will probably pass these along because they are designed for normal to oily-skin. The Garnier sheet mask is an item I’m very excited to try. I love hydrating masks and this one claims to provide deep moisture for softer and more radiant skin! I’m sure I’ll try it before the end of the month so I’ll let you know my thoughts in my next empties post!

My Thoughts
I got a decent amount of hair products – between the shampoo and conditioner duo and the dry shampoo but I’m happy with them! I’m also happy to have a new lip pencil which I will probably wear a lot in the summer and a nice nail lacquer! Total value of my box: $40.75 (not including bonus items).

What did you think of Topbox this month? What was in your bag?

Lots of Love,

BB Cream much? Here are a few I’ve been wearing

A few days ago I noticed I had a couple open BB Creams and that I was actually using all simultaneously and thought I’d share these with you.

I wear mostly BB Creams in my everyday makeup routine. I like the sheer barely there look and the added moisturization. I have other BB Creams that are open but I’ve already discussed my thoughts on Tarte’s Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer which you can read here and I’ve been using my sample of Pur-Lisse BB Tinted Moist Cream that I received from Topbox so it will probably be in an empties post soon.

Covergirl cgsmoothers BB Cream Tinted Cream Tinted Moisturizer ($8.97)
This is the very first BB Cream I purchased and I’ve become accustomed to using it on its own and mixed with foundation. I think since I last bought this they’ve changed their shade names because I have 710 which I think is equivalent to 810 now which is light to medium. It’s a bit darker than my natural skin tone but once blended in it helps to give my face a bit more natural warmth. It also leaves a satin finish and leaves my skin hydrated. This has a creamy texture which is really light weight.

Benefit Big Easy BB Cream ($49.00)
It wasn’t until I was looking up some info on this product that I realized how old my actual tube of the Benefit BB Cream is. Not sure if the formula was reformulated or if it’s just the packaging but the one currently on Sephora has an SPF 35 and I can’t tell if mine ever was. You can see in the photo below from Sephora that now Benefit has changed the packaging to include a note that it has an SPF.
benefit-bb-sephoraOf all the BB Creams I own, I use this the least. It has a really mousey texture which I don’t like and I find it doesn’t blend super well for me. This is a liquid to powder bb cream that doesn’t work well for my dry skin because it’s supposed to balance out the oils in your skin. I should have probably read the labels before picking this up.

Garnier BB Cream + Blur Cream ($15.97)
This is the newest BB Cream in my collection and currently my favourite because as well as having added moisturizers this also blurs and perfects the skin. I like wearing this on its own and under makeup as a primer too. The formula of this is liquidity so I find it blends into the skin easily (more like a light moisturizer would). It also has a light fresh scent which I am loving. The finish on this is a velvet matte so it doesn’t look completely matte on the skin but more matte than say my Covergirl BB would. I have this in the shade light which I find matches my skin nicely.

Below I’ve put a photo of each of the BB Creams, on the left is just a squeeze out from the tubes on and on the right I’ve blended them into my hand so you can see what they look like when sitting on the skin.
bb-cream9_all-togetherDo you have any BB Cream recommendations? Do you wear BB Creams? Let me know!

Lots of luv,

Unboxing Topbox, January 2017

Price: $12.00 CAD (plus tax, free shipping) 4 items.

Topbox is a Canadian monthly beauty subscription service. Each month you have the option of getting a surprise box or to swap it for a prive box where all the products are from one brand and you know what they are. This month I opted for a surprise box and I’m so happy I did!

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Paradise Blush topbox-january-20176This is a pretty orange/peach blush that has shimmer. I was trying to find information on this company because I had never heard of them before but couldn’t really find anything on their website BUT! I did find some info on Manna Kadar spent 15 years in the beauty industry as the owner of sleek cosmetic stores and salons. In 2012, she launched her own line of multi-tasking products. I love girl-bosses!

Pureology Shampoo & Conditioner

Full Size: $37.89 (250 mL) Sample Size: $7.58 (50 mL)

I appreciate that these came as a set! This is a 100% vegan formula that is designed for colour-treated hair. It is meant to help increase density and thickness.

Voesh New York Deluxe Pedicure Virgin Olive Oil Mud Mask topbox-january-20173This is the first time I’ve received a foot mask! The Mud Masque is the 3rd step in a 4 step pedi-system by Voesh (the steps include; a salt soak, scrub, mud mask, and massage). I hope this will help with my dry skin.

Bella Aura Skincare Gentle Purifying Cleanser

Full Size: $45.00 (100 mL); Sample Size: $4.50 (10 mL)

I feel like I’ll have a sample of this brand’s whole collection thanks to Topbox which is awesome! This cleanser has a blend of oils including Argan, fig de Barbary (prickly pear), Neroli (orange blossom), and nigella (black cumin seeds). It also has vitamin B, C, and E. You massage this onto wet skin for 30 seconds to work it in and then rinse.

BONUS! Garnier Micellar Watertopbox-january-20174This was a really sweet bonus to receive in my box! I love using micellar water and have never tried Garnier’s before.

BONUS! DDM cosmetics Ultra Matte HD Kiss Proof Liquid Lipstick in Rich Bitchtopbox-january-20171I love this brick red colour! The formula reminds me a bit of the colour pop formula. The swatch on my hand below dried in about one minute and was smudge proof and did not transfer! topbox-january-20175Although it dried matte, it didn’t settle into any lines which is always really promising to me. This brand is cruelty-free, paraben-free, hypo-allergenic and made in Canada!

My Thoughts

I’m really loving Topbox lately! This is maybe the forth month in a row that I’ve been over the moon about the products I’ve received. The bonus items really helped make this month extra special. I wanted to put a total value of my bag but I didn’t want to include the Bonus items and some prices were hard to find.

Did you get Topbox this month? What did you think of the items?

Lots of luv,
