Summer Morning Routine with Garnier

I’m constantly switching up my routine for morning and evening in hopes that I find the best products for my skin each season and because I simply get tired of using the same thing over and over.

The last few weeks I’ve been testing some items sent to me from Garnier that I’ve worked into my morning routine.

Let’s start with my first step; cleansing. I love cleansers that have citrus scents especially to help wake me up in the morning and the Clearly Brighter Gentle Smoothing Scrub* is really nice for that.
Morning Routine 2017_LBL (9)I don’t usually do exfoliating cleansers everyday because of their rough texture but this is surprisingly really soft and gentle on my skin. The formula is like a gel cleanser with argun nut shell. I find the the shells feel really smooth. Garnier claims that this can be used for all skin types including sensitive skin.
Morning Routine Collage1 It helps to smooth my skin and prep it for my next step which is whatever face spray I have at hand.

Recently, I’ve been using a sample of Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. This spray is really nice to hydrate my skin and prep it for moisturizer. Morning Routine 2017_LBL (1)It has a beautiful rose scent that I personally like. I also love the mist this creates, it’s very fine but wide so two-three sprites will cover my whole face.

My next step after that is moisturizer. There usually isn’t a moisturizer I don’t like and the Moisture Rescue* is no exception.
Morning Routine 2017_LBL (3)This is simply a great everyday fragrance-free and oil-free moisturizer that feels really light on the skin and absorbs really quickly.
Morning Routine Collage2It has Vitamin C and E and an SPF of 15. I appreciate the SPF, even if in the summer I’d want a bit more, I like that it has any coverage.

My stand out product for the morning is the Ombrelle Ultra Advanced Tinted Lotion with SPF 60*.
Morning Routine 2017_LBL (6)I did try a tinted lotion last year from Clinque which I quite enjoyed for my face but this one from Garnier has a higher SPF. This is non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), water resistant for up to 80 minutes, and hypoallergenic. I also LOVE that this is fragrance free. I really don’t like the smell of sunscreen so I’m glad I don’t have it here. This is a mineral sunscreen which is new to me.
Morning Routinge Collage3Upon further reading I found that unlike most sunscreens mineral sunscreen doesn’t get absorbed into the skin but instead sits on top and reflects the suns rays. I mostly just love this because it feels really nice on the skin and the tint gives me a little bit of coverage. For the summer I move away from foundation so I use mostly BB Creams to add a bit of coverage and then use concealer around my eye area or where I need more coverage. This does the same thing but has a really high SPF so I won’t need to worry if I’m out in the sun all day.

My next steps after this are to add my makeup which I might post since my makeup over the summer is pretty minimal but great for those who like to rock a simpler look like I do!

What’s your morning routine like? What steps do you take?

Lots of Love,
Dal

Bye Bye Empties, May 2017

Before we get too far into June I figured I better get to all my empties for May. I feel like this I finished up a lot of products that I’ve been wanting to finish so I’m really excited to share them now!

Skincare
May Empties 2017_LBL (9)

Let’s start off with Algenist Purifying & Replishing Cleanser which I finished up mid month. I originally reviewed it here and at that time I said I wouldn’t repurchase this. Since then I’ve had a complete change of heart because I grew to love this cleanser because it’s just so¬† good at removing my makeup and leaving my skin feeling clean. Plus it lasted me so long even with regular, daily use.

I have two little sample products that I finished this month as well.
May Empties 2017_LBL (10)The first is the GlamGlow Thirstycleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser which I really enjoyed. I used this about 4 times before the sample ran out. It’s not a product I’d use everyday though so I’ll probably not purchase a full size but I would definitely get another sample.
May Empties 2017_LBL (11)The next item is my Dr.Lipp Nipple Balm. I love this balm! I got it in my Birchbox and then did a review of it here. I used this on my lips and cuticles the most but I would also occasionally use it when my legs, hands or face felt a little extra dry as spot treatment. Luckily I purchased a full size from the Birchbox store before they stopped servicing Canada.

Body Care

May Empties 2017_LBL (6)
An item I was really happy to have finish is the St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion. I thought I’d really like a spray moisturizer but as someone who needs a little more hydration I realized pretty quickly that I prefer creams instead. I did enjoy this as the weather got warmer because it was really light. I also really loved the smell; super tropical and delicious.

Once I finish up more body washes I have laying around my home I’m heading straight to L’Occitane to pick up more of the Almond Shower Oil. I did a review of this product here and I’m almost finished the Almond Supple Skin Oil as well.

I didn’t finish my PennyLane Pink Grapefruit Deodorant but it’s crumbled so badly that I can’t use it anymore. That was my fault because at first I think I might have pushed up too much product causing it to crack.
May Empties 2017It’s unfortunate because I love this smell. It was strong when I first applied it but it did diminish throughout the day and left me feeling fresh. I have other deodorants I’m using right now but I will probably repurchase this.

Hair Care

May Empties 2017_LBL (3)
Although I have dry hair, I always seem to finish up my shampoos before conditioners. I really enjoy the Dove Shampoo line. It’s really nice for dry, frizzy hair like mine making it really easy to style afterwards. The Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo is definitely one I will be picking up again.

If I could chose a high-end Shampoo and Conditioner it will most likely be Alterna’s Caviar Repair Instant Recovery Duo. This is amazing for hair like mine. I got this with my Sephora points with other items from their line.
May Empties 2017_LBL (4)If I’m leaving my hair to dry naturally I’m likely to use the shampoo and conditioner as well as the Caviar CC Cream. These three together made my hair more manageable. It’s really pricey, so I might be leaving this for Christmas and Birthday ideas ūüėČ

What did you finish up in May?

Lots of Love,
Dal

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom: Palette Collection Review Series

I spent quite a bit of time researching palettes before I picked this up back in October. Tarte’s Tartelette In Bloom has some of the best recommendations and reviews on Sephora, YouTube and other Beauty Blogs that I figured I could not go wrong purchasing this. It’s even recommended over the original Tartelette palette (I don’t own that so I can’t confirm).

I ordered mine off the Tarte website and got 20% off my order. After using this palette so many times I can see why this is at the top of many makeup lovers lists.

What It Is
9 mattes and 3 luster finishes. This palette is infused with Tarte’s signature Amazonian clay formula, all in a chic, portable palette with a beautiful floral design. (Sephora.ca)Tartelette In Bloom_LBL (3)Price
Regular Price is $60.00 CAD, I paid $48.00 CAD (0.636 oz total weight)

Packaging/Scent
I absolutely love the packaging of this palette. It’s about 4×5″ which makes it perfect for travel and storing with the rest of my makeup. This is a sturdy plastic in reflective gold with a flower petal design on the lid. I think this is one of my favourite looking packages. This palette also has a vanilla scent.¬†It’s nothing like the Too Faced palettes which can be strong, this is much more subtle.
Tartelette In Bloom_LBL (2)Colours
The layout of this palette makes it easy to put together an eyelook. Each row can be broken down into a quad. The first shade can be used under the brow bone and inner corner as highlight. The second can be used in the crease. The third shade over the lid, and the forth to deepen the outer corner.

This is a beautiful neutral and warm palette, with reddish and brown shades. The colours are very everday wearable mattes, with pops of shimmers. Unlike my other palettes I wear every single shade over and over. My only issue with this palette are the colours activist and smokeshow which are too close to being the same shade. Rocker is my favourite shade and I absolutely love rebel. I love the way these colours are layed out because I literally will pick a light, medium and dark shade and put it on my lid, each colour works so well with the next. I think this is one of the best thought-out palettes I own.
Tartelette In Bloom_LBL (4)Application, Wear & Longevity
The pigmentation on this palette is so good! I actually don’t need to lay down a base for these to pop and to last which is quite amazing. I don’t know what it is about Amazonian clay, but it really packs a punch here. The palette is not powdery but I do experience quite a bit of fallout, so I ensure that I put these on before I move onto foundation.

My Eyelook
I used mostly the middle row to create this look. I put flower child all over my lid with charmer on the brow bone. I then worked smarty pants into the outer half of my crease. I put firecraker (look at that shimmer!) all over my lid and used activist to darken the over V of my eyelids. I ran a little bit rebel on my lower lid. I love the look and love how the layout of the palette made this easy to put together. Tartelette In Bloom_LBL (5)Breakdown

Pros

  • Easy to put together eyelooks
  • Amazing luster shades
  • Fantastic Pigmentation
  • Adorable Packaging

Cons

  • Some Fallout
  • Activist and Smokeshow are the same colour on me

My Thoughts
I recommend this palette to anyone who is starting off using makeup or just wants a solid palette with easy to do looks. It has everything I want in a palette, perfect pigmentation, warm and neutral tones, great shades to wear together and alone, and is easy to travel with.

Do you have the Tartelette In Bloom Palette? What do you think of it?

Lots of Love,
Dal

Unboxing Boxycharm, February 2017

I’ve been looking for a new beauty¬†subscription box to try for the last few months. After seeing some really awesome past boxes on other blogger and youtuber sites I figured I would give Boxycharm a try.

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box based out of the US where subscribers receive 4 to 5 full-size beauty items.
boxycharm2

Some Subscription Details

The box is $21.00 US + $5.00 Shipping to Canada, but the contents of each box should be worth over $100 US. I prepaid for 3 months saving me $2 a box. After shipping and converting everything to Canadian dollars I paid about $33 a box for the next three months. It seems like a lot when both Ipsy and Topbox subscriptions are under $20 a month but I wanted to try something new and hopefully the products received are worth it. After 3 months I’ll either cancel the subscription if it sucks or I’ll sign up for another few months.

I signed up for this box back in January and got put on their waiting list, after I saw that the February boxes were shipped I thought I might have missed this month. However, about a week ago I received the email that I was off the waitlist and I got the box 3 days later.¬†I was really happy that I didn’t miss out on the February box because it had some really cool items.

On to what I got!

Omnia Eye Kit by Royal & Langnickel
Retail Price: $29.98 US
boxycharm-feb-2017-3
Hurray! More brushes from Royal Langnickel! These brushes are so soft and couldn’t have come at a better time because I was looking for new shadow brushes. The Omnia collection is¬†available on the Royal & Langnickel website¬†March 2017. The Gold brushes are natural hairs and the Rose Gold are synthetic. Both are very soft and beautiful looking brushes.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Cherry Cola and Prom Night
Retail Price: $12.00 US for both
boxycharm-feb-2017-2
I have never tried Makeup Geek shadows but have heard that they are some of the best shadows that are cruelty-free and super affordable. I swatched these colours on my hand and I was instantly impressed with the pigmentation. They are both super smooth and feel really blendable. Prom night is described as a pale purple with hints of grey and a shimmery finish. Cherry Cola is described as a deep brown with strong red undertones and a matte finish.

Juice Beauty the Reflecting Gloss
Retail Price: $15.00 US
boxycharm-feb-2017-4
This gloss has organic acai & goji berries, agave and minerals to create this interesting shine. It looks really coppery and metallic in the tube and my swatch below show a lot of gold shimmer. I wore this on the lips and it’s not as intense as the tube leads you to believe. The copper appears sheered out on the lips and the glitter just adds a bit of shine.¬†I can see myself actually wearing this colour.¬†It’s also very comfortable and nourishing on the lips. It feels like a lip oil. Also, I’m in love with the smell, somehow the mix of all these berries mentioned above smell like Terry’s Chocolate Orange to me, yum!

Dr.Brandt Microdermabrasion
Retail Price: $79.00 US
boxycharm-feb-2017-5
This scrub alone made my 3 month subscription worth it! I had to check the Sephora website to be sure that this was indeed $79 US which it is. This is made for all skin types to¬†target, dullness, wrinkles, and blemishes. It also has a 4.5 star rating on Sephora and mostly rave reviews. I’m really excited to see if it’ll make a difference in my skin.

Small Z Palette
Retail Price: $14.oo US
boxycharm-feb-2017-6
If you’ve ever created your own palette, you’ve probably considered getting a Z Palette. I usually prefer the Makeup Forever magnetic palettes because they are cheaper but I’m really happy that I have an extra magnetic palette on hand. This size will fit about 9 standard size eye shadows and comes with adhesive magnets that you can actually stick to the bottom of your shadow pan. This was designed exclusively for Boxycharm so it has their cute white border and heart design on it.

Swatches
boxycharm-feb-2017-1My Thoughts
I really wanted this specific box and I’m happy I got it! I’m most excited about the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion and the Makeup Geek Shadows. Total Value of this box is $149.98 US and when I convert it to Canadian dollars at our current conversion rate it’s $196.45, not bad for $33 CAD!

Did you get Boxycharm this month? What do you think of the items received?

Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Mat, Is it worth it?

I took a little extra time to myself this holiday to catch up on me! I was lucky to get some extra days off work to really relax and ease myself into 2017 (BTW- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!)

Something that I actually really, really enjoy doing to relax is clean! I like being organized so cleaning for me helps me relax. Now imagine how much I love cleaning makeup brushes!

An item that I had wanted for Christmas was the Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Mat so I was excited to receive it. I immediately tested it out to see if it was any good.¬†sigma-spa-express-brush-cleaning-mat-4This product is pretty interesting. It sticks inside most sinks with suction cups to keep it steady. The mat is portioned off into eye and face with different textures to quick clean, deep clean (refine) and rinse the brushes. I found that each section did help with cleaning the brushes better for sure.sigma-spa-express-brush-cleaning-mat-2I only had my beauty blender solid cleanser to test this out with but what I did was wet my brushes and wipe them on the solid cleanser to pick up some soap.sigma-spa-express-brush-cleaning-mat-3I¬†then used whatever appropriate side. In the case of the photos, I was cleaning a dense face brush so I used the face washing side to work the lather into the bristles.sigma-spa-express-brush-cleaning-mat-6Afterwards, I would rinse the brushes and use a towel to help remove any extra water on the barrel and bristles and hang them to dry.¬†sigma-spa-express-brush-cleaning-mat-7One trick for drying brushes is to hang them from your towel hanger (if you have one). I use a elastic hair bands to tie the brushes upside down on my towel hanger and leave them until they are dry.¬†sigma-spa-express-brush-cleaning-mat-5I really enjoyed using the¬†Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Mat. What I really liked about it is that I didn’t constantly have to keep my hands under running water to wash the brushes and I needed to use a lot less soap because the mat helped to work the soap into the bristles better than if I was to use my hand. It took half the time to clean my brushes and I’m not left with any extra soap residue. This worked really well for my fluffy brushes, the denser ones needed a bit more work in the refining texture, but I still got really clean brushes in the end. Overall, I’m really happy with this product and would recommend it.

Have you tried this product? What do you think of Sigma’s Cleaning Mat?

Lots of Luv,
Dal

Does this thing work? Trying out the Milani Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Liner

I was really excited when I saw the full Milani Cosmetics line in my local Rexall Drug Store. I picked up a few items to try and one of them was the Milani Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Liner.

I wear liquid liner almost everyday so I’m not a novice but I thought if this could make applying liquid liner that much quicker and easier than why not give it a shot.¬†milani-review_lbl_-2The ergonomic design allows for easy handling and more stability when applying liquid liner. The top of the liner has a dip that I was able to rest my index finger on and extend my thumb to stabilize application closer to the felt tip.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find this very comfortable. Maybe my hands are a bit small but holding this was uncomfortable and I had to¬†constantly change the positioning of my fingers to try to get a better grip. I ended up just wrapping my hand around the tip of this (similar to what I do¬†to my standard pen-style liners) to apply it on. I wasn’t able to get a perfect line. milani-review_lbl_-4One thing I’ll note is that I’m right-handed but this made applying eyeliner on my left eye much easier than most other liners. ¬†Also, I really love the deepness of this black, it dries matte and doesn’t smudge. I also love that the felt tip is long and has a precise point which makes creating thick or thin lines easy. ¬†milani-review_lbl_-3I think with any new product you need to practice a bit to get the hang of it. I’m sure that someone new to eyeliner will find the learning curve with this shorter than a standard liner, but for me I think I’ll just stick to what I know.

Have you tried this liner? How well does it work for you? What’s your favourite eye liner?

Lots of Luv,
Dal

Unboxing Topbox, November 2016

Price: $12.00 CAD (plus tax, free shipping) 4 items
Topbox is a Canadian monthly beauty subscription service. Each month you have the option of getting a surprise box or to swap it for a prive box where all the products are from one brand and you know what they are. Again, I opted for a surprise box this month.

FusionBeauty Plump & Shine Lipstick in Rendezvous

topbox-nov-2016-4
Full Size: $38.82 (3.6g), Sample Size: $12.94 (1.2g)

This lip plumper is in a cute chocolately-red¬†colour. I thought this would be a bit more pigmented, however, as you can see in the swatch it’s a bit more sheer which I don’t mind either. Some more info from the website; Expand-A-Some boosts your natural lipid content with Microscopic Spheres and embeds in the tissue for increased firmness and volume.¬†

Bamboo Sprout Leave-In Conditioner

topbox-nov-2016-5
Full Size: $13.25 (10oz), Sample Size: $5.14 (3.88oz)

I started using the deep conditioner that I received from Novex in my May Topbox and I’ve been enjoying it so I’m really happy to see this in my bag! This leave in conditioner is ¬†designed to grow and strengthen the hair. This has a really nice herbal scent as well.

Bella Aura Skincare Antioxidant Booster

topbox-nov-2016-2
Full Size: $165.74 (30mL), Sample Size: $55.25 (10mL)

This is a powerful detox to protect against the negative environmental elements. I really hope that it will help protect my skin. You’re only supposed to apply a few drops of this into the palm and then dab it onto the 5 points of the face and massage it in and leave it to absorb into the skin before applying the rest of your skincare. I’m really surprised by the price of this so I did a little further research on the website. Other information I found from the website; Infuses skin with rich, vitamins (C-E-A-K-D-F-B complex), minerals, omega 3-6-9 fatty acids to nourish, replenish, and rejuvenate. Helps reduce the appearance of dark spots, discolouration, blotchiness and redness.¬†

China Glaze in Dope Taupe

topbox-nov-2016-3
Full Size: $10.00 (14mL), this is a full size item

What makes China Glaze stand out from other lacquer brands is that it has build in hardener that is similar to that used to give porcelain it’s shiny finish. With all the pretty colours I’ve been receiving lately in my boxes, I’ve started wearing nail polish again (on my toes, I just can’t bear them on my finger nails) which kind of sucks because I’ve had to cover them up with socks because winter has finally arrived. I really love this taupe colour.

My Thoughts

Again, another well rounded bag from Topbox. I received makeup, haircare, skincare and a nail polish. I think that Topbox is really starting to up their game with the surprise boxes. I usually go for the Prive boxes because I like knowing what I’m receiving but lately I feel like the surprise boxes are better. Total Value of my bag; $83.38 – WOW!

Did you get Topbox this month? What did you think of your items? Any other beauty boxes you can suggest I try?

Lots of Love,
Dal

Urban Decay Naked Palettes: Palette Collection Review Series

Urban Decay is where my palette collection started. Basic2 was the first I ever bought and so it has a special place in my heart. I was originally going to separate these palettes out in the series, but since they are all Naked Palettes I figured I would keep it all together.fotor_147835975609179What it does
Naked Basics –  A multipurpose MATTE companion to Naked. It’s the palette EVERY woman needs in her beauty arsenal. (UrbanDecay.com)

Naked Basics 2 – An indispensable palette with six TAUPE-hued matte neutrals.(UrbanDecay.com)

Naked Smoky – Loaded with ALL the essentials you need for the perfect neutral smoky eye. (UrbanDecay.com)

Price
Naked Basics (2) – $36 CAD (6 x 0.05) each, Naked Smoky – $66 CAD (12 x 0.05)

I remember when I was looking for a palette the basics were the cheapest available so that was why I picked it up. Today I would have probably just purchased the Naked palette (the 12 pan palette) but I actually like these smaller palettes for travelling. fotor_147835959128845Packaging
I like the hard plastic casing in these palettes. It makes it easy to travel with and I don’t have to be too careful when storing them I can just throw them into my makeup case.

The packaging on the Smoky is one of my faves because it is a clear case with grey/black marbling on it to make it look like smoke.

Colour Selection
The Basics are neutral, matte, easy everyday shades. I don’t know how they compare to the 12-pan palettes but these two are pretty similar in colour. Yes, the Basics2 feels a bit more taupe and I personally this one out of the two but it’s not too much different than the first Basics that you necessarily need both. I wish that the colour selection was a bit different so that if you did have both palettes like I do, they could be used to create very different looks.

fotor_147836308036468
Top Row: Naked Basics, Bottom Row: Naked Basics 2

The smoky has a really great range of colours to create a variety of looks. There are some cool tones and warm tones to compliment whatever look you are going for. It has browns, silvers and navy colours in both shimmer and matte finishes.

fotor_147836091392494
Naked Smoky

Application
Whenever I dip my brushes into these palettes the amount of powder they kick up is quite annoying. Granted, the powdery-ness does make these really easy to blend onto the eyes. I mostly gravitate towards the Basics2 for every day and use only two colours, stark all over the lid and cover in the crease. fotor_147836355462459

In the look above I used Foxy (Basics) all over my lid and built my crease with a little Frisk (Basics 2) in the crease. I then put dirtysweet (Smoky) all over my lid and lower lashline and radar (Smoky) to deepen the crease. I then put high (smoky) in the inner corner skimp (Basics 2) on my browbone.

Wear & Longevity
I used to wear these shadows without primer and it surprisingly would last long for my simple everyday look. Whenever I’m using the darker shades and putting more colour into my crease I always use primer. I do like the way these wear, however, I find that it does gather in my crease.

 The Breakdown:

Pros

  • good everyday shadows
  • perfect base for any eyeshadow look
  • Basics are easy to travel with

Cons

  • Very Powdery
  • Basics are very similar in shades and not too much range in colours

My Thoughts
I love the smoky palette because it is great for creating dramatic looks. In regards to the Naked Basics, I use the colours as a base to a lot of my eye makeup looks and I love carrying these around whenever I travel.

Do you own these palettes? What do you think of the Urban Decay Naked sets?
Lots of Love,
Dalia

Favourites From the Boxes, October 2016

I keep a box of samples that I have received from my monthly subscriptions services because as much as I would like to use them I sometimes can’t keep up (I share a lot of items with my family and friends or donate them). From the items I do use I have some hits and some misses. I’ll just include hits this time because I really want to give the misses another chance!

Keratin Protein Mask,¬†Birchbox December 2015faves-from-the-box-1I received a lot of hair masks during the winter of 2015/2016 and so far I’ve used up this one. I actually finished this off about 2 months ago but was holding on to this until I had more items to include in this post. I was able to use this 3 times as a pre-wash mask and each time it left my hair feeling a bit fuller than just using shampoo and conditioner alone. Unlike other creamy masks, this had a gel-like consistency and smelled a bit like VapoRub. Regardless, it helped keep my ends healthy until I decided to chop them off.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Radiant Protection Energizing Serum, Topbox June 2016faves-from-the-box-3This came in my Bliss Prive box that I was really excited about because I love this brand. There were many great products here but I thought I would mention the Radiant Protection Energizing Serum here. This golden serum is my go to recently before I moisturize. I like to concentrate this mostly around my eyes and my forehead. I have noticed the skin under my eyes to appear a bit brighter and tighter. Surprisingly, I’ve gotten a lot of use out of this and it’s still about 1/4 full.

The Face Shop Collagen Pomegranate Pack, Topbox May 2016faves-from-the-box-2This is a night cream but I do use it in the morning sometimes too because it’s super hydrating. The formula is thin so it easily spreads over my face. Sometimes I find that with moisturizers I have to apply more than one layer because my skin might still feel dry but I haven’t needed to with this which is awesome! Plus it claims to help improve skin elasticity which I am all for!

Have you tried any of these products? Any subscription box favourites you have?

Lots of Love,

Dal

Ciate London  Paint Pot in Hidden Gem

When I first unwrapped this I wasn’t the most excited about the colour but after applying it on my nails I fell in love with it. The name is so befitting because this really is a hidden gem. I’m not sure if it’s everyone’s taste, but for me it’s not too flashy and I actually like the mustard tone. I think it would really look nice with a gold glitter on top. Out of the all the nail polishes I’ve received in boxes lately this is one I actually want to wear.

Full Size: $54.95 (100 mL), Sample Size: $10.94 (20 mL)

Dr. Roebuck’s PURE¬†

I’m really intrigued to try this moisturizer. This Australian based brand was started by two physician parents who developed Dr. Roebuck’s PURE to treat Eczema¬†in¬†their identical twin daughters. Today, the daughters continue to expand the line. As someone with really dry skin and mild eczema this story really touched me.¬†This¬†is a hypoallergenic fragrance-free, day and night cream for all skin types. It works best when a thick layer is applied, your skin will absorb the cream in a matter of minutes.

Harvey Prince Organics Keravegan Repairing & Hydrating Masque

This is a 100% formaldehyde-free hair smoothing therapy made with organic argan, coconut and sweet almond oils, blended with shea butter, papaya, lemon and mandarin extracts. This has a sugary scent with slight citrus notes, I really love this smell.

Eyeko London FAT Eye Stick in Smoke

Another UK brand! Maybe that was Topbox’s theme this month, haha! This eyeshadow stick glides on and can be blended out for a really nice smokey look. It’s a gorgeous dark grey with silver glitter specks. I was trying to find this on Eyeko’s website and didn’t see it there so I think it might actually be discontinued and replaced with their water proof me and my shadow sticks. I did email Eyeko for more info and I’m awaiting a reply. I¬†found¬†this on beautybay.com so that I could include a price.

My Thoughts

I love when I receive well rounded boxes and I definitely got it here. I got skincare, haircare, a nail polish I’ll actually wear and a makeup item. It’s strange because although Topbox usually is low in total value money-wise, I find that I actually find use for each item I get. Total Value: $33.99

Did you receive Topbox this month? What do you think of the box?

Lots of Love,

Dal
